This thread confuses me. The OP says that carbon filters do not work 100%. Other threads and the guys at the local shops say that carbon filters do work 100% (so long as you're cycling you're room's air every 5 minutes)
Who is right? Do carbon filters kill ALL the smell or NOT?
Good Morning Mr. Delta
The filters "help" make ya safe.. And thats about it.
They only "help" .. But do not take the smell away 100%.
The hydro shops will tell you that they will work...you know why?
Because there a business, and want your money. They'll tell you what you wanna hear.
I have been to a few of my buddy's growrooms, and they run multiple filters bigger than mine, and the smell still lingers outside no matter what.
Its a battle.
Its best that you go all the way with filters than without.
I run ozone and carbon here at my house,
And my Gf still tells me that there is a hint of smell in the front yard around the 5th week into flowering.
I cant smell it, but then again Im used to the scent.
Bugs me out.
I think the reason It was lingering is because I was growing 21 at the time.
The only strain that does not smell,
That I have come across was the Northern Lights #5.
At my last house I grew a huge plant in my bedroom, had people over,.. No one ever suspected anything.
It was only one plant, but still it would of reeked hard if it was my Glass Slipper.
As soon as my Northern Lights #5 beans arrive, I will be growing out only 4 of them, along with 4 GS and thats it.
Greed will get you everytime!
Im cooling my jets around here.
Ive been cuffed and stuffed before...
Aint going down that road again..
