Who the hell told you that, whatever the approved amount is for your state they throw the book at you for one extra because they think one plant is worth a million dollars on the street, same with seeds some states consider a seed no different that a plant. Its illegal to grow dope and I know there is no state that allows 20

currently
Alaska - 1 oz usable, 6 plants (3 mature, 3 immature)

California 8oz usable (18 plants 6 mature, 12 immature)

Colorado 2 oz usable (6 plants, 3 mature and 3 immature)

Hawaii 3 oz usable (7 plants 3 mature and 4 immature)

Maryland no plants (doctors note may get you out of jail)

Maine 1.2 usable oz (6 plants 3 mature, 3 immature)

Michigan 2.5 usable oz 12 plants

Montana 1 oz usable 6 plants

Nevada 1 oz usable (7 plants 3 mature, 4 immature)

New Mexico 6 oz usable (16 plants 4 Mature, 12 immature)

Oregon 24 oz usable (24 plants 6 mature, 18 immature)

Rhode Island 2.5 usable oz 12 plants

Vermont 2 oz usable ( 9 plants 2 mature, 7 immature)

Washington 24 oz usable (15 plants

Pretty sure these are the numbers and anything above that I am sure will get the book thrown at you. I was wrong there is a state that allows more than 20 plants but 24 is the most. A lot less than 200

BC, as in British Columbia, Canada?

Then the answer would be zero, because growing weed is illegal in Canada..

Yea noo worries. Someone told me if its under 200 plants they only fine you and give u a cultivation charge and give you one year probation and maybe a couple months wow! lol
Over 200 they might get you on producing a controlled substanse and possion for the purpuse of trafficing. i think thats 6months.
And my other friend said you would only go to jail if u get caught with donkie dicks in your room lol.

really wow your so smart. i didnt know that growing was illegal. Unless your a medical grower.
You know how they have a limit. Example. over 200 you get a federal charge. Under 200 you get a slap on the wrist.
Its similar to the theft over 5000. And under 5000. Those are two differnt charges. But for the same cause. STealing.
so im wondering if its like that with growing.
Dont you think you would get a bigger charge for growing 1000 plants compared to 3 plants?? Im aware of the differnt charges. I just dont know the plant numbers. Its either 200 or 400. So im asking does anyone know?? i dont care about your personal opions, unless you have had experiance with those charges.:peace:

Yea they just give you a nice fine and leave. Maybe thats what it is for -200. Just a fine and cultivation charge??

Ok because i have been arrested for growing marijuana, and i am from BC, i know it's only 3 flowering plants, they consider it as personal use only...after that it goes to intent to manufacture and distribute marijuana.

Me and my buddy had the record in Kamloops for the biggest bust $4.18 million dollers worth...or so they said...shoulda retired! Don't know about now though...that was about 10 years ago.

I think it might have changed because more people are growing and they dont want to bring 5 plant grow ops to court. They write fines and give you cultivation.
Kamloops is my home town by theway. I was a youngen when that got pinched. Did you get a conditional? or sentence?

Dude im from canada and was just in jail for an assult charge. One of the guys on my range told me there is two differnt growing charges. Provincal and federal. Provincial is 2 years- and federal is 2years+
I dont think your going to get 2 years for growing 25 plants. Bc or canada of the fact does not have many jails and really doesnt want to hold people for a petty 25 or even 200 plants. 200 plants is extremly common. I know the guys i get cuttings from only do a min of 200. They bump 10000 a month. they make 250 grand a year.
A few years ago i know it was 400 and i told that to my "friend" and he said they lowerd it to 200.
Canada justice system isnt like americas. We are pot friendly. The judges even grow dope lol

I recently read an article in the Toronto Star about changes to the the current legislation, giving judges discretion in sentencing for 5-200 plants. Before these changes anyone arrested for cultivation where facing the maximum penalty for even as few as 5 plants.

I highly doubt the police has any interest in someone growing 1-5 plants.......

ok first off it dosent go by state it goes by county....each county is different some counties allow more plans than other its not STATE its COUNTY......my county currently allowes 6 plants if you have a medical prescription but just 45 minutes away the next county over allows you to grow like 12 plants...some county's allow 20 you cant just say this state allows this many........i live in Ca and all the county's have different numbers that you are allowed to grow.... At least thats how Ca is i would think it would be similer in other states

Ok....thanks for your input but incase you didn't notice we're talking about British Columbia, which is in CANADA......

I should add, I'm referring to changes in Federal legislation, not Provincial.

Well, If I remember correctly, before these changes were made. If convicted of cultivation you faced a mandatory 2-5 years for up to 200 plants. Over 200 and now your looking at 5-7.

According to what I read these mandatory sentences have been removed but I wouldn't say its safe to grow up to 200 plants.

You could still do 5 years if convicted....If you have priors....maybe more.

IMO...If your not a licensed med patient...grow a few BIG plants, not lots of little ones....sometimes maximum productivity isn't the best idea.
