Time to flower?

Hi everyone,

It's the moment of truth...

Let me break it down real simple.

I've got 6 girls, all of em different strains. Bought them as clones in a grow shop, and according to one or 2 of the little pickets, they were planted on November 11th. That means they've been vegging for just over 3 months. I got them into my house around December 22nd.

They vegged under a 250w HPS lamp, in 7 litre (that's about 1.5 gallons) pots until yesterday. Now they're each in 15 litre pots (3 gallons) under a 600 watter.

My target date for letting them flower, was the 28th of this month. However, what difference does 2 weeks make when they've been vegging for 3 months?

Besides, they're already huge as fuck, and as some of you may have noticed, there's a Super Silver Haze in the group, and she will go through the roof! :bigjoint:

So let's have it. Should I start flowering tomorrow or wait 2 more weeks?

-Rich

P.S.

I'm growing a Nebula, Hashberry, White Russian, White Widow, AK47 and a Super Silver Haze - this is my first grow.

Yeah, start 'em now, because when it comes close to harvest time, you'll probably be impatient and wishing you started them 2 weeks ago.lol Seriously though, the extra 2 weeks won't do much, especially for the yield. The plants are going to be pretty tall, so the bottoms won't fill out anyway, and the additional height is unnecessary. :)

Ok, I guess 2 answers is enough, eh?

Anymore input would be appreciated.

Tomorrow, we hit the 12/12 !

I've read several times that during the first 3 weeks of flowering, no bud developpement occurs, but instead the plants double or even triple in size? Fucking nuts! haha

Can't wait for all this to play out :)

Thanks,

Hard to believe, eh? No doubt, it's amazing. I thought it was BS when i first started, assuming they would grow some, but not that much. When i saw it for myself, i almost shit. The damn things were growing over an inch a day, and just kept on going. Truly a cool phenomena, and definitely a cool plant.

Haha awesome man, glad to hear it :weed:

One more thing. I've heard loads of people saying that either 24, 36 or 48 hours of darkness can speed up the bio-chemical reactions in the plant to induce flowering.

Would it hurt if I gave them 30 hours of darkness? I know it's kind of unconventional, but my timer turns on at 6 am and shuts off at midnight, right...

Well, during flowering, I still want to keep it turning on at 6am. So to do that, I have to give em darkness from midnight until the morning after..

Makes sense? Or is 24 or 36 better for the plants?

Thanks.

Nah, it won't hurt anything. The "24, 36, and 48" are just estimates, nothing precise. 30 hours, will do the same thing, so no worries.

Does n e one know what I could've done better? Cut clones, from my girls, 4 strains, pre soaked rock wool 24 hours in this "conditioner", 45 degree cut, dropped in bucket o water, made another cut right below node below water, peeled of leaf at node exposing the flesh, dipped em in root gel, put em in cubes, misted, covered with dome, low light ,temp 74, humidity outside dome 40%, 24 hours later 2/3 of em are laying down! but the ones that aren't look like their lovin it, what the f__k?

Is this your first time on a forum?
