should be fine for 2 plants but i think u gunna need some supplement lighting around the sides and bottom, how many plants u thinking of growing

as soon as you install the hps keep it around 16" from plant or if you can keep your hand there for a minute without burning your skin the plant will be fine, have you got a fan blowing on the plant, if so you might get as low as 8" abouve plant, thats how much distance i have and i am useing 2 600watts hps and 2 fansits just one ... another thing
its getting really close to the light
its not burning cause its just a 125 flouresent but when i put the hps i know its gonna burn... what next???
as you only have 1 plant a regualer one will do, try to get it to blow on top half of plant and the hps light as this will cool it down abit meaning you can get the light closer
never heard if one busting with dust on it, but dont get water on it, i wouldnt clean it just install it and grow
