Curling leaves....help appreciated

Hey guys. This is my first grow and everything is going great. I have 8 bagseed plants started in my closet. I started to germinate them last friday so they're about 8 days old. I have them in MG which I know now (too late) is a bad move. When I transplant in a few weeks to my 4 gallon containers I plan on picking up some fox farms soil. The plants are growing under four 4ft 32 watt flourescent tubes as well as a small 70 watt HPS floodlight. My temps are a steady 78-80 degrees. I have the closet vented with one 4inch computer fan on intake and two for exhaust. The lights are on 24/0. I have the flouros almost touching the plants and the HPS is about 20 inches from them. I watered once after I transplanted to the solo cups which was Wednesday. The soil is dry on the top but is still pretty moist about a cm down. Sounds good right? Unfortunately this morning I awoke to find that the leaf tips on three of my eight plants are curling downwards? I topped these three off with a small dose (about an ounce) of water and they haven't really responded. I posted two pics, one with the curling plant, and another with the curling plant next to a healthy one. If anyone has any ides of what the problem might be I would really appreciate it. looks like you might be watering too much, or it could be from the miracle grow soil, it can be too *hot* for some marijuana seedlings. i wouldnt worry about the soil too much, they will survive and eventually thrive. i'd still get a different soil for when you transplant though

Out of curiousity, how often should I water these at this stage and with how much water per plant??

when the soil is dry, sorry it sounds like a stupid answer but it's true. pick the cup up after youve got it fully watered, feel how it feels heavier than it did when it was dry, if you have to fill up a cup w/the soil youve got to compare it. soon you'll be able to tell right away when you pick it up if it needs water or not.

I started my batch in mg as well and had the same droopiness with half my plants. Mg soil is like puting your plants on steroids and each plant will react differently. I would transplant out of those cups because I can tell from the pics that light is getting through. Get some organic soil and mix in some peat moss and perlite. And as far as watering I have my babies in similar size pots and they only need water about once every 8 days. Don't water until the cups feel bone dry. It is easier to correct underwaterig but once you over water your screwed. Good luck
