are you using rhizotonic? what stage are your plants? i got root rot at 4 weeks flower without rhizotonic.

Na not Rhizo, Just good ol Root 79 & some Bactikill.
I hear of some ppl adding Hydrogen Peroxide, but im not sure where to get it (or how much to use etc).
Also wouldnt the Peroxide just bleach it white like it does to ur hair? So it's just masking the problem but not actually fixing it?

You can get Hydrogen Peroxide from a chemist ninja... Its also useful for softening and removal of ear wax... That's why you get it from a chemist... The hydro shop may charge you a little more for the same thing...

Ninja, not sure what link you want me to post? I've grown more DWC than any other hydro system, and it produces the most brilliantly white roots I've seen. No doubt some nutes colour your roots, but plenty of people use canna and I haven't heard anyone complain of it before.
Hydrogen peroxide also helps clean your roots, and freshens them up with the extra oxygen too I believe. I haven't used it myself, however I've seen people advise to use more pure (read: dangerous) h2o2 expressing fears of more fillers/things you don't want in the off the shelf pharmacy stuff. Hydro stores are apparently the place to look.
Although I dislike the bubbleponics fanboys, they are very devoted to DWC and Roseman has posted a lot of helpful information.. And the man loves his root porn, priding himself on their radiant whiteness and giving good info on how to get the same.
Is your air pump pumping fresh (cool preferably) air in large volumes? I believe that poor oxygen levels contributes to browning roots, based on the evidence that good aeration creates healthy fresh white roots.
I'm just spitballing here.

Na i dont really have much going on at the moment. I just cant justify growing anything more until I smoke wat i've got..
I was just wondering wat nutes you use. Cos as u said some can stain. Plus i like not dicking aroundd with supplements.
I have a decent air pump (twin outlet) that i split and run 1 outlet into the tub directly under each plant, and a big mumma air pump (4 outlet) running into the res, so the oxygen levels are definately high enough, but probably due to the high temps the oxygen in their is not doing it's thing as well..
I'll have to be absent from this thread for a few days then and stalk Roseman & the rest of the DWC boys.. Time to Learn again - it never stops aye..

Ok i am not trying to redirect away from the issues being discussed but does anyone else get readings from the hygrometer that sound strange? As my plant is now outside i keep an eye on a website which gives readings all over Sydney and wider. I think mine is either reading high or i am retarded. It didnt break the budget but wasnt the cheapest either. Its telling me now that its 27.5C in my lounge room. Only my savage bravia going.

I grow all in the one res, but that certainly sounds like enough oxygen to me. I'd switch it round though, and have the strongest pumps direct to the plants, and the other pump just keeping the main res fresh. Are you using airstones or the air diffuser tubes? Cleaning them regularly to remove gunk and keep them at max bubblyness?
