Here's an interesting theory - Rush said today that he thinks the whole purpose now is to pass blame for nothing passing to congress. If nothing (or something mild) passes itdoesn't help... Is anyone here really qualified to judge how our health care compares to the rest of the world?

I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I also love how you question anyone heres ability to compare our healthcare to the rest of the world. Then immediately start doing it yourself. LMAO

Last I checked, we lead the way in invention, innovation, capabilities, drug development and just about every other area. If a person needs advanced medical treatment there is no other place a person wants to be than here in the US. And one would think there is a reason why world leaders from countries with socialized medicine come here for their own treatment.

Some true, but most of that came right out of your ass. Im not taking away from the United States tremendous advances in medicine. But you commit a disservice by discounting others contributions. Especially seeing of the top 5 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, only two are American owned. Disregard the fact that thanks to our government Americans pay more for American drugs than foreigners pay for American drugs.

As for "world leaders coming here for treatment". Again, you are repeating a talking point. Thats not saying people don't come her for our healthcare. Thats saying you are ignoring the people including Americans who flock to countries like France and Germany for healthcare too.

But you know what. It doesn't matter because people are coming here for our healthcare. NOT OUR HEALTH INSURANCE!!!!!

Who do you think is answering the phone at the insurance companies now? You think Aetna and Blue Cross are recruiting on the campus's of Princeton and Yale for customer service representatives? Get real man! Nothing about any of the bills proposed is gonna give Shaniqua a white coat and latex gloves to give you a rectal exam. I see no reason to fear the government with my health insurance any more than I do a for profit corporation which could cancel my insurance when i need it most so that they get more profit.

Again, it doesnt matter. This bill was never liberal enough for me to begin with. I am for a single payer system and Obama and the Dems have caved even on the public option. The ONLY thing in my opinion that actually had a chance at making premiums more affordable for everyone.
