basiclly im trying to be as stealth as possible bout growing im gunna live in ether texas, north carolina or pennsylvania i read some post on here bout people using to much wattage in there house and then flagging the police and they come with a warrant and bust your ass!

so i have two ?s

and do u think it would raise suspision for the electric company to flag the pollice or whatever?

unless you are running 10k or so in lights you are more than likely fine and have nothing to worry about...

but to answer your question the hps is 400ws and the pc case is prbably around 50watts

The 400 is the watt rating on the light, it will use slightly more than this with the ballast.

It uses the same as 4 regular 100 watt household incandescent bulbs - no one will notice.

it says how many watts they use on the items you asked about. the 400w hps uses.......surprise(im just kidding w/you, not actually being all cocky,lol), 400w. lol. the cfls use 26w each and their are 8 of them which is 208w. the fans and that arent listed but they will use very little watts. about the same as a cellphone charging up most likely. unless your using like 10 1000w lights you dont need to worry about the electric peopleor police as long as you pay on time.

thats a much better way to put it into perspective than what i said. it seems obvious now but it never crossed my mind when i was trying to think of what to compare its energy use to. nice post.

haha cool i kinda feel like an idiot now but i feel way better knowing that lol and hey dark destruction! that htg supply stuff is bad ass! the light says its only 38,000 lumens tho and the light i was gunna get the 400 watt hps says its 50,000 lumens! wtf is lumens lol is 38,000 good enough lol or will i be fine with just 38,000 lumens lol
