I recently tried a new method (to me) of germinating my seeds.. I used some of the Hermie seed I have from my grow.. I tossed them into a coffee cup filled half way with cold water..
placed it into the fridge for an hour or so to simulate winter.. I always do this.. sometimes 24 hours.. depends how busy I am..
Next you take it out and leave it... mine is up on a shelf.. some light hits it but not much gets in.. (the mug is solid green) the water warms and they slowly start to pop their little white tongues out.. I just grab them with tweezers as they pop and put them in whatever I'm growing in..
I'm pretty happy with this method.. the paper towel method can dry out if you don't keep watch.. and depending what you put it on top of for the heat source..
I usually use peat pellets in a tray on top of a heating pad with great success.. also the same method for cloning..
