Spending Way Too Much On College Books?

Hey guys whats up, i dont know how many college students are on here but i know buying books has been a pain in the ass this year!

This semester i decided to rent my books online since i have heard so much about it from other people in class.
and so far it has saved me a ton of money and been fairly painless.

The site was chegg.com

They even plant a tree for every order you make!!! save the environment while renting books!

i think at the beginning of the semester they offer free express shipping so getting your books on time is not really an issue. Also they send you the paid return shipping label in the box so you can just keep the box and pack them up, slap on the label and send them back when it comes time.

Really something to look into if your strapped for cash like i am.

Another thing is that they buy back books even if you didnt get them from there and ive heard they give top dollar.

also, look up your books online by the ISBN #, you can find deals

also, look up previous editions. Not much changes from one edition to the next. you may want to check a classmates copy if assignments are due, etc, but you can save tons doing this, by getting a previous edition india-only paperback copy.

my schools a bunch of crooks. they release financial aid 3 weeks after the semester starts. The only way to get books with that money is deferred payment through the school bookstore. well the bookstore carries mostly hardcover copies of the book so they cost 160+ dollars a book.

aww man that is a rip off..i do see how they make everything so convenient in the campus book store right there but its like 15% more than the other book store in town

Yea but it may help you conjor up the thought of something else. I say fuk it, give your brain a good work out, its only good for you, but theres no point in running thro the motions like i see alot of people, i guess that degree will give you something but im all about hurting my brain, beating the shit out of it, (super-cropping), then who knows what you'll come up with, but its better then doing what they want you to do and not get an education, fuck it let them pay for it, if your broke, they will, there's some good shit in those books

LOL... You got me there, that's all true. My degree, by a strange turn, led to a well-lit room. Anymore, I just see as many opportunities without a degree as there are with. But yeah, Craigslist the fuck out of your required reading and buckle down. :mrgreen:
