Any Sentinel experts here? Having issues with my MDT-1 timer

I've had my MDT-1 timer for a few weeks now and I'm having a problem with it. It is currently running a single EcoPlus 636gph submersible pump and two 600 watt HPS bulbs on Lumatek electronic ballasts.

The problem I'm having is when I go to check on the timer in the morning, there has been two occasions when the timer wasn't on - no connected devices were running, nothing on the LED display, etc. It's plugged in, the power switch is in the ON position, etc. When I check it in the morning, the only thing that should be running is the pump which is running one minute on/five minutes off. The lights are not scheduled to be on at this time of the day so the draw is quite minimal. The previous night, everything was fine both times; the lights went off as scheduled and the pumps continued to cycle on and off as scheduled overnight. The room is on a 20AMP breaker.

When I turn the power switch off and back on, the timer remains completely unresponsive. The only thing that brings the unit back to life is unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. Then it appears to work normally.

Everything else, including my Sentinel EVC-2 controller, are functioning normally and there have been no power outages.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm confused by your post. I have the EVC-2 controller as well, but I rarely use it anymore because I don't use Co2, and there's not much I can do, I mean, am willing to spend money on electricity-wise in order to use it as intended. My plans since buying it have changed. I'm not familiar with the unit you're using, but it seems to me that you could solve this problem with the addition of one powerstrip and two, 15 amp dual outlet timers. If there's something wrong with it, you should be able to get your money back or at least have them fix it.

Bump
