i took my cuttings 12 days ago and all are doing the same thing. i have them at 77 degrees all day and in indirect light 24/7. the rockwool cubes were soaked in water with a 5.8 ph. the tops still look alive and fine but when i open the cubes they look like... well i put up pics. any and all input would help greatly

Wow. Ive never seen that before. It looks like it got too much air as it was growing roots. Your PH may be too low as well. Did you have domes or baggies over your clones?

The main reason for clone failure is not enough moisture. I also add just a hint of hydrogen peroxide to the water i use for my clones. The extra oxygen helps to kill any nasties that might be around and adds a bit of extra oxygen to the medium to promote root growth.

I seen a thread on here where the guy split the stem of the clone (about an 1/4 to half inch)and dip both sides of it and then it will rooted from both parts and the middle he said he has down to losing one sometimes every time he fills his cloner

Mine look very similar! just tried my first attempt at cloning in the last week or so & mine looked like that.. did you dip them in a hormone powder or gel? I used a powder & my stems are in rockwool look almost identical to yours.. just wondering if we have the same problem.. Am trying a DWC bubble cloner now

Cool.. I will bear that in mind if I ever try Rockwool for cloning again..I can't wait a month unfortunately.. I'm looking for about 7-10 rooting & ready for planting turnaround..

there in a dome. and they're definatly moist, in fact if i squeeze the cubes water drips out.

clonex gel, the roots are probably trying to break through the gel. give it a few more days and then check again
