When i put my plants into flower when do you start the counting of days? Right when they start on a 12/12 or when they show signs of pre flower

i start from the day i switch to12/12

I count flower day one the day i put them into 12/12. Most of mine dont show preflowers in veg, it takes about a week or so after the 12/12 switch.
