alternating fan leaves

Hello erybdy I read somewhere that when the leaves alernate that's when u kno the roots r mature enough to go into flower mode. So I guess my question is wut do u mean by alternating, cause my plants alternate as such on ery plant I have 2 sets of fan leaves with 5 leaves an the other with 3 leaves. Hope I'm explaining it right.

no that doesnt necessarily mean ur ready to flower. all mj plants do this. you can flower whenever u want, just change the light cycle to 12/12.
