I know there are already a couple reviews of this strain up there, but I wanted to throw in my 2 cents.
Strain: Jock Horror from Nirvana, (Multiple hybrid of Northern Lights, Skunk and Haze)
Ordered through the 'tude. got the t-shirt, kinda crappy quality shirt, but i'm not that upset.
Growth: (9/10 germinated)
I grew the seeds in Promix, in 16 Oz solo cups until they were mature. (showing sex) At which point I killed the 5 males and took clones of the 4 remaining females. Killing the original mothers.
I ran a round of these in my Ebb and flow table. 2 distinct phenotypes emerged, one longer flowering with alot of stretch and a hazy pine flavour, and one 9 week plant with a citrus spice that made picking a mother easy.
The buds grow pretty large and dense, and will really shoot out the calyxes late in flowering.
Nutes: FHD Holland Secret 3 part nutes, with cal-max and H202 in the hydro portion. Maxing about at 1.1 EC at week 6 of flower.
Yield: Because I started growing this strain during my transition from soil to hydro, I never actually flowered out the original plants, so I can't comment on yield from seed.
Run 12/12 from 3" clone in my ebb and flow tables, I get somewhere in the 1/2 Oz per plant area. (pretty good as far as i'm concerned.)
Bag Appeal: Good, not great! Certainly not as flashy as some of the other strains I've grown, but i'm a personal grower, so bag appeal means next to nothing as far as i'm concerned.
It is very pretty, but not the prettiest.
Smell: Super Citrus-ey. Hits the nose immediately upon opening the jar and tickles with that undiscribable hazy scent.
Smell when burned is a very strong skunky odour.
Taste: Upfront the taste is very oily, skunky. Upon exhaling the orange and lemon flavours come through strong. Delicious.
The High: Hits me suprisingly fast. My second hit on a joint or pipe will cross my eyes and set in some confusion. Over the next 5 to 10 minutes the cloudiness disipates and a push of energy comes on. Very fun, creative high. Perfect for smoking during the day.
For a 9 week plant, the sativa is very dominant. This is a very euphoric strain, puts a smile on my face.I've yet to find the ceiling of the high from this strain. After smoking a two or three joints, I'm too high to continue. Pretty great if you ask me.
Medicinally, I would say this is a good strain to treat depression and lethargy. However, I could definitely see it being bad for someone who suffers from anxiety, the soaring high might be a little too much to handle. (try some white rhino instead...)
Comments: I like it!!! It is pretty much the strain I was hoping for when I bought it.
Tasty smoke, nice sativa dominant high, very quick at 9 weeks and a pretty good yielder.
As far as I'm concerned, for $25 a pack, it would be silly to not grow this strain.
Though I'm sure they exist, i'm at this time unable to find any pictures of these plants before they were about 5 or 6 weeks old. Sorry!!!
Ladie parts!!!
The 4 ladies.
Again, there appears to be a gap in photos here... must've been stoned.
Keeper Pheno~~
Some nice well cured nugs. Still super dark colour, but the flavour is clear and not harsh at all.
Phew... that took a while. Time to reward myself.
Just a wee bowl for the moment, I've got a long night ahead of me.
This was a much harder picture to take than you would think.
So thats pretty much it, if anyone has any questions, comments, threats, proposals, inquiries or exclamations, feel free.
Also I have alot more pictures of this girl in flower and dried buds, all you have to do is ask.
Overgrow prohibition!!!
