yeah, that was river monsters, though to be honest I kinda decided that it was a good time to go in the other room and check on my ladys when they reached that part. the thought of that happening is just too distrubing to me, lol, especially when they showed how big the damn fish was and were asking him how it felt and all that. i was watching planet earth yesterday night, i liked the shallow ocean/sea (something like that)one alot and the plains and the desert ones were decent episodes. I missed the deep ocean one though, which really bummed me out cuz thats another one of the topics I really really like.

trapped gasses in the body from decomposition, if im not mistaken. its happened b4, but i dont recall where or when. their is a article in wikipedia(im pretty sure its wiki, i could be wrong, it was a while ago,) about it. i tried to watch the show multiple times but the sight of all the blood and guts exploding everywhere was just too much for my comfort level. lol.

Im curious what 6 sequentially numbered uncirculated prototype High Times Collectors cards would go for... Issued 1994 and distributed @ The Boston Hemp Fest the same year, the only place you could get them was for free and by asking @ the High Times publicity booth-
sorry for the big pics but there high-res

front sides-

and backsides-

so whatcha think?

i think there cool as fuck, which is why I held on to them for 16 years...:hump:
but knowing what I know about cards, I always wondered if they were worth anything because of the extreme rarity.
notice on the backsides how the printing is offset to the card, its not aligned, almost looks set by hand.

that article is about a whale that they blew up with dynamite but they do mention the whale that exploded from built up gasses

cool, they are probally not worth very much though, but i could be wrong. I just dont see a market for them that would pay high prices for them.
I've got a few old books I got from my great grandma's best friends attic when she learned she was dying when i was younger, one is a nearly perfect shape book from like 1893 called *buddy*, a new farmers almanac(or whatever its called) from 1911(i'd have to dig it out to be sure, but i think thats the year.) thats also in great shape and a rand mcnally atlas(spelled wrong?) thats also from around that time period. ive got 3 other books that are all from the 1930's that are in fair condition too. I wish my great grandma hadnt stopped us their, lol, she had fucking boxes and boxes of old books and she was gonna give me alot more of them.
well guys, i think im out for the night. see y'all tommorow. :peace:

Tainan City, Taiwan
Another well-known explosion occurred on January 26, 2004, in Tainan City, Taiwan, this time from a more natural cause: the buildup of gas inside a decomposing sperm whale caused it to burst. The explosion was initially mysterious, since it unexpectedly occurred in the spine of the whale. It was later determined that the whale had likely been struck by a large shipping vessel, damaging its spine, and leading to its death. The whale had died after beaching on the southwestern coast of Taiwan, and it had taken three large cranes and 50 workers more than 13 hours to shift the beached sperm whale onto the back of a truck.
Taiwan News reported that, while the whale was being moved, "... a large crowd of more than 600 local Yunlin residents and curiosity seekers, along with vendors selling snack food and hot drinks, braved the cold temperature and chilly wind to watch workmen try to haul away the dead marine mammal".[14] Professor Wang Chien-ping had ordered the whale be moved to the Sutsao Wild Life Reservation Area after he had been refused permission to perform a necropsy at the National Cheng Kung University in Tainan. When it exploded, the whale was on the back of a truck near the center of Tainan, en route from the university laboratory to the preserve.
The bursting whale splattered blood and whale entrails over surrounding shop-fronts, bystanders, and cars. BBC News Online interviewed an unnamed Taiwanese local who said, "What a stinking mess. This blood and other stuff that blew out on the road is disgusting, and the smell is really awful."[15] The explosion did not, however, prevent researchers from performing a necropsy on the animal.
Over the course of about one year, Wang completed a bone display from the remains of the whale. The assembled specimen and some preserved organs and tissues have been on display in the Taijiang Cetacean Museum since April 8, 2005.
