Are these clones OK or dead? (3 pics)

I took these clones from 2 mature mothers about 12 hours ago. The strain is Barney's Farm LSD. The medium is Rapid Rooter plugs and the rooting hormone is Clonex. They're in a humididome with a heating mat under the propogation tray. I've read on RIU that clones can look really bad before sprouting roots. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Oh they will get worse before better i know that much. Did you split the stem length (1/4- 1/2 inch) ways then dip each side? A guy on this site posted about it and i pass it along because it works great! As for clones wait ten days keep them moist not soaked and its a waiting game from there.

I didn't split the stems. I just cut at a 45 degree angle and removed the skin on one side about 1 inch from the bottom. Has anyone tried my way and splitting the stems as described above?

Thanks for your response! +rep!

They don't look to good. Give it a day or so to snap back. I loose all the fans when I clone. I hope to start some today. I'll post pic's if I get to it. I just have a little diy bubble cloner. but it works good. Have had roots in 5 days.

Thanks for the great advice stumps! I use DIY DWC buckets for growing so I think I'll build one of those bubble cloners. +rep!

First you should cut 2/3-/3/4 off the ends of all the leaves. You don't need a lot of photosynthesis now. The leaves respire O2 and H2O. Without roots the plants can't take up enough water to stay turgid when the leaves are that big.
I use rockwool and keep them soaked. I know, supposed to be moist not soaked. I keep 'em soaked and do right well.
I don't see any condensation on your dome, should be lots of condensation.

I had cut a couple holes in the dome to put the light through but decided it'd be best to put it on top. I left the holes open though and that's why there wasn't any condensation on the dome. I put duct tape over the holes and there's condensation now. Most of them are actually showing signs of life now. Thanks dude! + rep!

hey mines lookd the same if not worse, but after a lil over a week they started standing up and showing roots.
just mist them twice a day with reverse osmosis water and spray the dome.
dont worry if some of the leaves turn yellow and die. as long as all of the leaves dont die, then your ok.
worst case scenario, they wont root out.
