Has anyone else noticed how many people wear costumes?
When ever I see a biker, goth kid, wigger, trucker or any other type of flamboyant dress I can't help but think that it is somehow the product of some type of maladjustment.
Now some of these are cultural. When I go into Detroit I see all kinds of getups - many look like they are circus clown getups. But, this seems more of a cultural thing because the majority dress that way. Cowboy getups are also a cultural thing if you live in a rural area - and what kid didn't want to be a cowboy.
But, when I see some idiot who is a full out biker with all that silly apparel or when I see some dope with 40 piercings in his face I can't help but wonder why people feel the need to act that way.
And I know I have spoken on this quite a bit, but I would be remiss if i did not mention your flaming homosexual or bull dyke. I remember being in college and standing next to two women talking. one was dressed like a trucker and she even was able to perfectly mimic trucker body language and mannerisms. What was particularly obvious was her exaggerated, wide gate which is a masculine display of dominance. It turns out she was a professor of women studies. I remember wondering how, in a normal world, a person who is so clearly maladjusted and generally fucked in the head gets a job as a college professor. Then I remembered this is not a normal world, it is a university.
Now obviously, there is no gene that causes anyone, male or female, to dress and act like a hyper-masculin trucker. I know I would feel like an idiot dressed like that. No, it is obvious that the woman I was seeing had gone to great lengths to convey an ultra masculine persona.
I can only imagine this is some form of over compensation for something going on in her brain. And, I fail to see how any reasonable thinking person without bias could view such an individual as being in any way normal and well adjusted.
Like I said, I see men who act all hyper-masculin as being a bit off. If I make that assumption, I must assume it is more so the case when a woman does it.
