what im thinking is the horseshit is like food / fert, right
so cant i just use so MG soil
wouldn't a good soil have the same action of horseshit + you see shrooms groing out of soil all the time

well in the mid west 1/8 goes about $30

you can eat them wet, they taste less like shit

for sale or storage dry them, i used racks from a food dehydrator fill them with shrooms and put them on a fan pointed up

dont use a dehydrator it has a heat element that will kill your shrooms

first go round I'd skip the seed and the poo and go with brown rice flower cakes.

its like doin your first grow with bag seed. just gives you a better idea of what goes on

If I was to take fresh horse poo or cow poo and leave it outside in the back yard or where ever(and keep it under the right conditions) could it grow shrooms with no added spores or inoculation??

I've heard this as a rumor a few times just want to know for sure.

those conditions are if there are spores in the poo

on the plus side you can do that and put all the spores you need in it with one fresh cap

There is almost no way you're going to get a sterile print from a mushroom grown outdoors

You could isolate some of the mycellium on agar.

The best way is to order some syringes and start using the PF tek, then go from there.

Worry about spawning to bulk later.

I know nature isn't sterile buddy, but there is an entire ecosystem allowing the mushrooms to grow.

Go ahead and try to grow without sterile conditions, you will be bound for failure.

I challenge you to get a sterile print form a mushroom grown outdoors

dude i just picked off some left over crap i threw off my porch looked down and there where shrooms growing where i threw some corn and spore liquid. also a few years back i tossed two caps in my neighbors compost pile got shrooms that time too. they dont need to be grow in a lab type environment

I'm talking about growing them indoors, I know things don't have to be completely sterile outdoors, that's a whole 'nother animal.

However, outdoors is totally different from growing indoors you can't compare the two, there are other things at play keeping the trichoderma and such at bay.
