What if i were to wrap a trash bag around a plant, squeeze most of the air out, throw a ghetto yeast CO2 generator in, and seal it? I would of course do this at night. Would the CO2 generated be enough to balloon out the trash bag and last the plant a night Would this even be worth the time or risk? what do YOU think? Or instead of that ghetto shit, i could just use a cheap paintball CO2 cartridge..
Has anybody ever tried or thought about this? Or seen any studies similar to this, even on another type of plant?
My thoughts are that it might work because plants respirate at night. And they consume CO2 during respiration. (am i even correct on that?) So as long as there is none or some normal air (0-50%?) in the bag, then the plant should benefit? i have no plants growing as of yet, so i cant try it. but if nobody has/wants to, then i may do it when summer rolls around . I saw not to long ago that somebody did this to kill some pests, and it worked. He said something about his plants liking it, too..
thanks
