Help please!

Will someome help confirm my plants problem? from what my research tells me is it is either a mag def, or a phosphorous def, or both. you can see that the top growth looks like it may be pulling out of it, but the back side and the lower part is not as good. right now I am giving her water with a tsp of epsom salt per gallon and doing some light foliar feeding. what do you folks think? She started flowering last Saturday.

anything? i did some leg work already, i only would like someone who has more experience to please confirm my diagnosis, and maybe give some hints on resolutions.

According to this book "Hydroponic Basics: The basics of soilless gardening indoors" Your theory about a N deficiency and/or a Mg deficiency. I mean, it's practically text book for the Mg issue. Brown spots on the leaf, check. Yellowness in between the veins, check. Issue is specifically targeting lower leaves, check.

I'd go with more Mg first and maybe a tad of N, only because the book describes the blotches on the leaves as purplish/brown for N deficiency, not yellow/brown like the Mg.

yeah i have a cheap ph meter, reads between 6 and 7. i have two other plants in my grow and they have the same soil and juice, and they have had miner issues, but nothing like her.

thanks MrZee, i did not think about it having a N def. my soil was a time release with a high parts of N so I have not watered in N yet. I found some examples of Phos that look like mine. thanks for the reponse.

Dissolve some Epsom Salt into your nutes in order to supply the plant with a boost of Mg. I just read that in this little gardening book I got.

anyone else have any other suggestions before I start trying different things? i would really appreciate some more feed before I risk f'ing up my girl. but I understand, some dont like helping newbs.

I am thinking of watering with a veg nute next feeding, with a touch of epsom salt still added. i am worried that she is so lacking in N that I am overlooking it because I think she has the time release soil. but she has been in it for about 8 weeks, and that time release may have all been used up. this will be my first attempt. i will then water with plain water and epsom on the next feeding. that should give me about a 7-11 days for her to make a change in one direction or another. if she improves more then I may add a bit more veg nute on the next feed, and go from there.

yea..if you are using a pre nuted time release soil you probably have all kinds of deff. because the soil is way out of wack on ph..it is way to low..your problem is not so much a nute def. it is a PH def. the steps you should always take when you have a problem like this..flush, check PH run off. if low go to lowes or a home depot . they sell fast acting garden lime this will ph your soil.
top dress the soil with lime and put some in water and mix well and pour it through the growing media it will PH buffer the soil ..it will raise the PH but will not get go over seven.after it is flushed id use a little earth juice micro blast to correct any deff. in minerals then start a light feeding schedule then.always start your soil before you grow anything in it with garden lime.and mix into your soil mix good. if the PH of your soil is not correct if will lock your plants out from uptake of the nutes and minerals it needs.

but my soil ph is a little high, 7-8. i have not really tried to manage the ph that much. i just got one of the cheap ph meters from home depot. it works ok, but I think there are better. i have looked for a little bit of stuff which would lower the ph of the soil, but have not been able to purchase anything yet.

i took a risk and tried some coffee grounds mixed in the top of the soil, since their acidic. no reaction, which is good cause i could have had a bad reaction!

I may try a light veg feeding just to make sure they dont need any Nitrogen.

i know, it is weird. i forgot on saturday I added a little espoma flower nute to the soil on sunday when I watered her to get me by until the tiger bloom arrives. I pulled her out last night to water again, and she did look somewhat better. I will keep you posted, but due to yours and mine flowering, their strains may have a higher Phosphorous need. we will see.

So you think it's the P. What in Epsoma nutes. cause I have Epsom salt but that would drop the ph cause it has sulpher in it as well so you using something like that could benifit you cause didn't you say that is was too high ph to begin with?

it is actually Espoma fertilizer, and it is a flowering fert. not that great cause it is mixed into the soil and has a time release. but I added a little to the top of the soil when I watered last saturday.

i have been using mild epsom salt also, but my ph has been high. last I checked it was closer to 7, maybe a tad under, so I may have things under control now. so maybe all things considered help to help her.

whats the npk or is it a secondary nute furmula.. how she lookg today? ,y is so perky yelowing seemed to stop ater the n fertilizer so maybe it was that.hat are your thoughts on the P thing as of now?
