im illegal and I always use 5 gal. buckets do to easy moving if i see close tracks.....and i have lost a few plants to moles these past few summers!! And when your illegal you hate fucking growing it all summer and then a moles fucks your grow op up!! very haert-breaking to say the least!!...plus i can control the soil Ph a lil better and grow medium!!if your illegal, it's easier to hide if u plant IN ground.
if you want to be able to have mobility with your plants, use pots.
thats as simple as it gets
I'm planning to grow about 10 plants and yes it is a guerrilla grow.I'm scouting locations now, so I can't say whether or not it gets any foot traffic. I was planning to grow in a cornfield somewhere, but I think the plants will be "outta place" come fall when the corn turns brown and the plants are green.does the area you intend to grow in get alot of(or any for that matter, lol) of foot traffic or anything? is this a guerilla grow?
Thats just what I was thinking..I'd be using as big of buckets as I could carry though youll get more buds and if you doin em somewhere else it will be good because you won't have to water as often..If you don't have moles/gophers in the area then diggin and filling holes with high quality dirt is the best (as dude few posts before me said)im illegal and I always use 5 gal. buckets do to easy moving if i see close tracks.....and i have lost a few plants to moles these past few summers!! I do both, so to speak. I cut the bottom out of my pots and let the top of bucket protrude out of the ground a couple of inches. fill in with organic and have 7+ footers each and every yearGround will always be superior to a pot. It is a bitch to have to water every day when your plants get root bound in a pot. Heads up don't know where your from but using fish guts and bone meal and stuff of that nature will attract animals like crazy. opossums and armadillos will destroy a grow. The guy earlier talking about moles, a buddy of mine had that same problem. I know it is a little extra work but he would dig a square hole and line it with chicken wire around the sides and fill it back with dirt. The roots grow straight through it. On the top he would cut a square piece a little bigger than the hole and in the middle of that piece cut a little hole for the plant to go through. When he laid the piece down and covered it with dirt nothing looked out of place. A mole or opossum hits the wire with his claws he will go somewhere else for a grub worm. Not to much work for the ease of mind.
