Fire Departments are not a Federal issue. They are administered locally under the supervision of each state.
Same thing goes for Police.
And, big surprise, the same thing goes for Health Care or Health Insurance or whatever term the Proggies are using today. It is a state issue.

Again, costs are lower for healthcare in germany and france, everyone is covered and yes, you do have access to world class medicine.

And take it from me...I've lived there. Healthcare is excellent and insurance is affordable for everyone.
I'm not even arguing for obama's plan here. I'm just calling the bullshit of claiming that we have the best system in the world for delivering healthcare. It's simply not true, so by repeating it you are either woefully misinformed (by talk radio and fox news would be my guess...) or extremely dishonest.
The insurance industry sucks money AWAY from our healthcare. How does that make us healthier?

lol i never said I agree with the current legislation, you just assume so. I support Obamas original bill that called for a government healthcare option. Then the Republicans got ahold of the bill and amended it and cut out public option and added the provision that called for all americans to get private healthcare and pay a fine if they do not. I do not support that and never said i did.

And I am sure you might hear some disagreement from those wealthy foreigners who come to the U.S. for treatment.
And let's not forget all the foreigners who come, either legally or illegally, from the Third World shitholes on the list. Some just for the purpose of downloading their anchor babies so they can take advantage of our shitty system.
And while we're on the subject of how great health care is elsewhere....
How would those European countries have fared without the Marshall Plan to rebuild their shattered economies?
Or how wonderful would their systems be without NATO providing for their common defense?
