I was wondering.....what are some good air stones to use? Will the Walmart specials due or do you get what you pay for on those too?
Get the ones that are all stone not a piece of stone inlaid in plastic. I get 12 inch for under $3 at meijer. They clog but can be cleaned. Still, at that price I use them for only one grow. I have bought 2 boss hog diffusers I am using for my next grow, but enough regular stones with enough air works fine.I was wondering.....what are some good air stones to use? I was curious what you thought about diffusers. They work great in my bong so I was curious about their performance when I saw them at the hydro store! Would you replace them after each grow or are they a more permanent fixture compared to air stones? Mine don't ever clog, but they do need a good brushing with a green scrubber every now and then to keep those bubbles going crazy. However, mine are blue and I fear they may be the stone laid over plastic.I have bought 2 boss hog diffusers I am using for my next grow
Dude, you have been going around posting this everywhere, STOP!I bought this system due to the reviews on this post. DON'T buy stealth hydro bubbleponic system. It's poorly designed and very expensive. It was a harsh lesson. I beleived the posts here I read on this forum and forked over the dough. Man it's been non-stop work modifying the system to make it decent. and ......... still.....the net pots are way too small. Man I regret it. But I learned quite a bit on how NOT to design a system. hehehe.
I can only take credit for spreading the word. This method has been used by dwc growers for years. I am transitioning from all flourescent to leds with some cfls on the sides. But yes, you always want to shift to mostly red spectrum light when you go to 12/12. For cfls that means 2700k.Wow! Thank you much for this post Illegal Smile! Reps to you for sure! I have spent the last several hours reading and re-reading this post and feel that I am the better grower for reading it. I really appreciate the knowledge that was shared by all here! This thread ROCKS or should I say BUBBLES!!!
This is by far the simplest method I have ever seen!
You mentioned that you use about 400 watts of Fluorescents, do you also use the blooming bulbs or just the HO 6500 bulbs?
Thanks again to all, Smuggler
I bought a 90w ufo from Sunlight Sheds. I'm using it with cfls on a small grow 3 weeks into flower. Too early to tell. I'm not familiar with the one you are talking about. I'm convinced there is both junk and good new technology out there. I don't believe it is the real world growing equivalent of 1000w hps.Hey again, IS, you mentioned that you are trying an LED setup. Do you know anything about the new generation of 300 Watt triband (Red, Blue & Full Spectrum White) LED lights that are being sold on eBay? The seller is claiming that they are the equivalent of a 1,000 watt HPS. Has anyone here used one? Thanks again, S
about a half ounce i'd say.how much yield will i get with a 18 gallon 6 plant bubbleponics 5 inch net pots, 1 airstone, and cheese bubba or lavender type plants, will that even work
I'd rethink the 25 gal tote. Try to find one with the same size top but less depth. That is more water than you need and it will greatly increase the cost of nutes and the work in changing the res. Consider one with about 15 gal capacity that you will run 10-12 gal of water in. And you can put any lighting system over it.I am building my own Bubbleponic Kit
I'm going with a 25 Gallon Tote $16.25
2-3 Sunleaves 12" Air Stones $9.00
and getting http://htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=51179 $36
Would this work with my Digital Electronic Ultimate 600 watt HPS & MH Grow Light
I was thinking of having 6-8 Plants in my system at a time Thanks in advance
Im getting ready to make a trip to petco and get 3 14" airstones and a petco air pump until i make my online orderJust got back from Walmart i bought a Rubbermaid Roughneck 18 Gallon Tote 68.1L 23.9x15.9x16.5 in and i also bought a Acu Rite Humidity Monitor and Thermometer.
