My question is, how shud i go about adding flowering nutes? last time i waterd was jus ova a week ago with normal ph'd water.. Should i bang out my canna flores nutes half strength next time i water even if its a day or 2 prior to switching the lights? then carry on adding ferts very 2-3 times i water? thanks.

i just switched one about 2 weeks ago, i use the Fox Farms line, they dont recommend using the "veg" nutes in flower but in my reading ive decided it can be very beneficial to add some supplemental N nutes in the first 2-3 weeks (mainly for the stretch, those bitches will double MINIMUM and probably 3x+ in size in a matter of 20 days!) the lower growth on this plant is unheard of and it just so happens to be the first time ive tried this...so im recommending it

ive also been nuting mine pretty heavily and its just recent showed some over-use in the newest growth so i flushed it at the last watering hopefully it will be nipped in the bud

so id say at most nute 2 times then fresh water once, it feels like its not enough but its a less is more thing, at the end of your flowering cycle you will have nuted atleast 16-20+ times, how many times were those 15" monsers of old nuted in the wild?

they look fantastic though, and they look pretty heavily sativa, so expect them to get big, the first 3 weeks (12/12) of and the last 3 weeks (12/12) are always the best part of growing!

Just stumbled on your grow.
Like your ghs line up, our set ups look similar. Ive run ghs white family for a few years now with success. With your veg time, 12 weeks? and pot size you should hit at LEAST 3 oz. I pulled 4 oz a plant from the rhino, from only 5 weeks from seed, with lst. 6 oz a plant from their widow, 7 weeks from seed. with 2 400s. in 15 gallon pots. (only grows in album) So veg time is a big deal. with that said. Your plants are going to get big, and your relatively small area for your soon to be monsters, you should maybe think about taking off some lower, smaller branches. Youll see when you flip to flower, add about 6 more branch nodes to get an idea. That really big one, could literally use that whole tent.
I used budblood and tigerbloom one day before I cut out the lights for 24hrs to induce flowering and didnt see any difference in how fast the bud set.
Check out my albums in my profile, they should give you an idea of what you can expect for ghs.:leaf:

first of all fanx for taking the time to give me tips, I am coming up to the 11th week of vegging and im going to start flowering within the next couple days, 15 gallon pots are mahussive i am currently growing in 8-9 gallon pots for the 3 bigger ones that are my main focus. What do u meen by "taking off some lower, smaller branches. Youll see when you flip to flower, add about 6 more branch nodes to get an idea"? . By cutting off smaller branches i will get more nodes?

stay tuned and thanks for ur time. Bunstinky

first off no problem, Ive been interested in those strains.
No, cutting lower branches wont cause more branch nodes. when the plant stretches when you flip to 12/12, it can close to double in height. So with that stretch comes the nodes. So any smaller branches, that are clearly struggling to make it to the canopy can be pruned. And not necessarily the bottom, branches of the plant, but the branches that are NOW on the bottom, from the plant leaning from lst. EXAMPLE-Picture a plant grown up normally, then cut all the branches off on one side. Then lean it over to the side with out the branches. I know, terrible description. but youll see what I mean when the stretch comes on, and there are branches that just dont make it to the canopy. They just become a waste of the plants energy.
*imo you should slowly weed out your large fan leaves starting week six of flower. I took the advice of another riu'er, and lst'er and got great results. My lower buds, fattened up and became contenders with my colas, some are prettier than the colas too. Although I must say, I kind of have my own way of lst'n, but I think thats the case for any grower. As with any pruning or thinning, you should do it gradually through growth, so not to stress the ladies. Good luch deciphering this jibberish as well...:leaf:

safe geeza, i understand what u meen now... the girls are having there first 12 hour dark period now since i have switched the lights. Im going to watch during this 2 week stretch and slowly remove the branches that dont make it to the canopy, im gonna most probably make clones out the branches i cut off and stick them outside for this warm summer in spain :D ill try that trick out when it comes to the 6th week, it make sense.
Btw ur dog looks hench, cant wait to get ma own! thanks for ya help!

oh yer and i highly recommend trainwreck since it seems piss easy to grow and havnt had a single problem with it this grow..:leaf::bigjoint:

nicely done sir. What does hench mean? Sounds like its a good thing!! They are top notch people dogs, that is for sure.

Clones, that is what I do. I only give them out though. For some reason, I just hate clones, and everything that comes with. (i think its because ive cut thousands for my good buddy). So I either let them have them, or just toss them out. I know that it is a waste, but hardly have time for them.
Ill keep posted!!:leaf:

Lol fair enough, hench meens big/muscular. Sorry thats my slang kicking in.. im probably the youngest person on this forum lol.

So i just went to my setup expecting to see the lights about to turn on from there 12 hour sleep, only to find that they havent even had a sleep.... typical timer malfunction. The light was on for about 30 hours straight with the heater on aswell since only the timer for the light fucked up.
So now ive shut the light off and will leave it 24 hours until i go back to the normal 12/12 schedule.. hopefully things will be ok and i havnt caused any hermies.
stay tuned!

Here's my Cheese (top), lemonk skunk (right) and Trainwreck (bottom) 1 week into flowering.. I have noticed a slight stretch since i flipped light cycle, nothing special though. Im thinking that this week is where im gonna really notice them stretch and then theyll slow down a bit in the 3rd week and start going into bud production.. There looking very healthy so i even switched the light off so u could see the colour of the leaves nicely.. Had to FIM a few branches in the middle of the foliage on the trainwreck because they hadnt been tied down like the rest.. i also have 4 nice female bagseeds in there with my retarded white rhino... I sold my retarded great whit shark to some sucker for 20 euros lol.. overall we got 3 healthy fem pants and 4 healthy fem bagseeds... Cant wait til i harvest :D My one and only question is how much more dyu think they will stretch? im guessing since were only jus beginning week 2 they may still double in height..

Leaves tips and comments!! Thanks bunstinky

Thanks!, the bushes are at 12 inches so im gonna hope for an even 2 foot canopy, maybe 3. Il be back next week with some new piks.

my cheese has stretched a little bit more than the other now, would it be ok to tie it down whilst im flowering?I thought that the lemon would be taller than the rest.

I plan on plants stretching 200-300% of their veg height by finish. That is to say a 6" clone will yield a 18-24" canopy. hope this helps

p.s this is a rule of thumb for clones and indica dominant pheno types, sativas stretch a bit more as do crops from seed, In My Experience.

Ok im a bit late on the update but these piks were taken 2 weeks into flowering. havnt got much to say apart from that the plant really seems to be sucking up water faster and im having to water more often, I have also noticed a few dead leaves deep innto the foliage of all 3 beasts, Im guessing its just coz there isnt much light getting down there.
my only concerns are that my fan seems to be slightly deforming the leaves on a couple of branches on my cheese and lemon since its placed pretty close to the plants (cant have it any further away), some leaves even look dry.. Anything i shud be worried about or will the plant eventually adapt? thanks

So heres what i was talking about on the previous post concerning my fan drying out the leaves.. ive swapped my lemon place over with the trainwreck to see if it stops happening on my lemon skunk, Take a look at the pictures and let me know wether you think it is the fan that is causing this or something else like heat, even tho my temps dont usually go over 80. Could it be defficiency? or low ph? let me know thanks.

Theres also a pick of what appears to be budding the fastest out of the bunch... yet it is one of the small ones .
