Good seeing you back, Wonder - saw you over at VG a bit, and then nothing.............curious, why'd you decide to go back to horizontal?
Just because you didn't feel like engineering something for one last grow, or was there something about vertical you didn't like?
I'm gonna build a PVC octagon and give it a go after this upcoming harvest, so I'm curious what issue(s) you might've had with it.
Ok. I love Vertical. On this specific run I decided to go horizontal because of veg time. A friend of mine flowered out 1 Wonder Woman under a 1000w, and ended up with a few ounces, where I pulled almost 4 ounces per plant on vertical.
Bulb placement drove me fucking nuts. Having different "tiers" of plants would have helped eliminate this issue, because my plants were not large enough(yet to big for tiers). I didn't get that nice big stretch I was hoping for when I flipped.
One thing that made me nervous, was the bulb getting dirty with foliar sprays, and dust.
I will be growing vertical once again. 4000w flip flopped. (1) 4000w horizontal room, and then (1) 4000w vertical room( save a few bucks on reflectors, and 4X4 tables)
The bulb placement concept was frustrating and seemed much higher than it should have been. Think I would stack 2 1000's next time to alleviate these issues......... I would have done more horizontal vegging, than I did, and only veg vertically for 2 weeks but not a whole lot more unless you have space to move the plants further from the bulb.
Beware of fire, all it could take is a nice bud to grow right into the light........
