the thing is this waters the plants using capilary action its a type of wick system what happens is a lil bit of soil sits in the water contained as to not leak soil but to draw up water and then distribute it throu the rest of the soil like a dry sponge squeezed then pushed under water halfway itll draw water to the parts not in the water
