Yeah I know thats kind of what I was bringing up with this thread but I just got heckled/ laughed at. then I got tired of it and blew up, having a bad day it happens you know to everyone. Then I get to argue with some real colorful characters that think there real wise. I'm done I hope he's done, he said so but IDK.

further explanation on the FLIR season thing. I know they can use them all year but whats the point? specific times of the year people are preparing outdoor grows/ starting seedlings indoors often in large quantities. FLIR costs a substantial amount of money to operate heli fuel isn't cheap so why would they not do more sweeps with it at times when it would make sense to right? that was my reasoning at least albeit flawed but I didn't know that at the time. I did learn some thing from this thread about FLIR tech and I do greatly appreciate the information that was given. I however do not appreciate being called a dunce an idiot and laughed at for five pages. I know a lot of people would have snapped a lot sooner.

The only way the authorities can use this technology is if they have a warrant. However I bet some areas use it as a semi-legal guide to spot potential grow houses. If the latter is the case, and if they saw something suspicious from your house, they would watch you for a while and wait for the signs of a grow. If you do not sell it to anyone, go overboard with wattage (multiple 1000s), take care of smell, dont tell anyone, dont get caught by landlord, and dont tell anyone... you will be fine as there would not be sufficient evidence for a full on Warrant.

There was actually a supreme court case ruling that cops cannot just "scan" randomly. Same reason why cops cant just randomly scan license plates looking for criminals, they need a reason to scan (which of course they can find easily while driving), just like they could easily find a reason to search someones house if they were dumb and not following the simple rules.

If only you lived in a state where you could grow legally and not have to worry about helicopters and FLIR. Oh wait you do. Hmmmm

I can accept you may have some unspoken reason. Maybe you have a record, maybe you are underage. And FLIR is indeed used year round, but only at night, and TECHNICALLY they aren't supposed to use it until they have a warrant.

I sorta knew when you called me "dookie" right off the bat lol you're having a bad day. We all have them, I don't enjoy arguing myself even though I'm good at it, I still don't like arguing. Pot smokers should be mellow & laid back. I'm an older dude in his 40s & sometimes I wonder what the hell are the strains these younger guys are smoking that cause them to have bad attitudes so I can avoid them lol. I know what it is, you got so many young guys here with lot's of testosterone going on. It does get easier when you're older. No harm no foul, Stay focused young blood

LOL would be pretty funny to see the pigs get a search warrant because someone had there clothes dryer running at night and exhausting hot air... You would have to have a pretty big operation to get your house raided or run your mouth to ur friends about your grow. Most busts around where i am are from SMELL or Snitches since LEO'S offer rewards to snitch off grow rooms.

I'm pretty young 20 but typically you couldnt do a thing to get me to flame but there are those days, those days dont even bother talking to me, everything you say will make me snap. You all are cool I know I came off as a giant arse. I apologize.
