Growing weed outside

I live in central fl. and was wondering when i should start a crop outside. It's been in the 70's fahrenheit during the day and no less than 49 at night. we have rain showers about once a week. sometimes twice. so what I'm trying to ask is when should i start outside?

I have no idea in FL, but my guess is you can put them out now. The days are getting longer and it will get very big before it flowers unless it auto-flowering. Good luck and wishing you a great harvest this fall.

I was just wondering because of the rain, do you think it will drown?

What are you planting it in? If you want to control the water it gets then what I do is plant them in soil that drains well but holds moisture.

Like Fox farm soil mixed 7 parts soil 3 parts perlite and with about 2 inches of loose black cinder on the bottom of a five gallon bucket. That will keep it from getting to wet when it rains but it will also keep base moisture in the soil for any dry spells. however planting outside you don't really know what your gonna get. You have to rely on mother nature to get her to the finish.

I grew outdoors in Hawaii, but you can do it there on accident. Just flick a seed off the porch into the grass when your rolling a joint and a few weeks later you see a plant growing outta nowhere. FL should be a great place to grow outdoors, the climate should be pretty good for it.

As far as when to plant, you should wait till after the last frost of winter. Yeah you don't get frost i know, so in your case i would plant anytime after march first, longest day of the year is june 21st so thats when the days will start to shorten again. Harvest outdoors will be near october.

I'm in Southern Georgia and in the farmers almanac it says plant on 4/19 so it should be somewhere around there. But we get daily showers for about 5 minutes and my plants seem to love it. Because you gotta think that there are other plant roots in the ground, where in a pot its just there roots.

Plant it in the ground. Start it now inside. Meanwhile dig a big hole (3x3x3 or bigger) outside in a sunny location (sun for most/all day) amend the hole with some good soil (read up). Now you have started the seeds and given them lots of light and love ,good room to grow and they are showing that they are all females, you run out and dig more holes giving plenty of space between them(6'+). You transplant and sit back and make sure no deer, rabbits, whatever eat them and make sure they have plenty of water and make a good tea from time to time. You quickly realize that you need to support the branches that are holding up big buds. you run to the yard to grab sum 4' tall fencing and make big circles around them and wait another month to harvest and you don't know what to do with all the great buds that need to get trimmed right NOW. You work like mad finding anyonewho will help out. You get it trimmed then find a good drying room. You sleep in the living-room while your buds hang and dry in the best location to do this. Now you do the final trim and contain the buds for the cure watching them for 30days letting them mellow just right before sealing them up. Of course you have been sampling the goodness and tasting the subtle changes as it goes WOW that was so much work. When can we do it again

i use buckets painted black so if i need to i can move them. If i end up with deer problems or if i see evidence of people coming nearby, or FLIR copters cruising around i can relocate if needed. My buddy uses buckets but he digs a hole for the bucket to go in and cuts three big 4 inch holes in the bottom so once the roots reach bottom they can grow into the regular soil. But they still get the benefits of starting in kick ass soil. Take a whole thing of Mortons table salt and make a thick ring about 4 feet away from the plant. this will keep slugs off your plants. Also broken glass around the bottom of the plant will work. we get slugs here pretty bad in the late summer. I have seen them kill a 6 foot plant in less then 24 hours.
