There is a huge difference of opinion about general welfare.

Actually I don't have a spin. I just think the term "general welfare" could be used in many ways. Like "General" meaning almost anything, and "Welfare" meaning well being, could mean the general well being of it's citizens, which by definition would surely include comprehensive health care. I've always maintained that in a society like ours, the supposedly richest on the planet, health care should be a right, not a priveledge. You'll notice that all those railing against this bill and single payer are already rich enough to afford decent health care. You won't see poor people denouncing the opportunity to finally have some relief in the health care theater. If that's spin, then so be it. I call it common sense. BTW as a disclaimer, I already have the cadillac insurance plan, 2 times, teamster retiree health care and VA.

This is just for anyone who has never read it before or could use a refresher. Its obvious to me plenty of people have not. After reading, plenty of things become apparent, I don't think anyone worthwhile needs my run-through =)

Fair enough. But why do some of us need a refresher? What things become apparent in #8 that is relevent today? Or are we all "unworthy" of knowing what your point is?

Do you have a point at all? If you do, let us know. That is the purpose of the politics section.

I could think of alot of my general welfare that would be nice if it could be given to me at nobody elses expense.

Ya know insurance companies are just banks. Always with the banks. In 2014, if you dont make banks a shitload more profitable and glutenous, the government will fine you. That fine goes...fuck who knows where. Maybe it just goes to pay interest, to banks, on our countries loans .....

Health care is a good and/or service. In order to provide that good/service for free, means that something of value is going to have to be taken from someone else. In other words, in order to provide that "right," the rights of another will have to be violated. The "right" to health care sounds more like the right to theft to me.
