what a couple of days does, looking great man, you might have to take some top cuts soon, i wont blame you!
Hah...! Speaking of top cuts... we're getting to that point.

I've noticed over the last few days that a few buds are looking ready. Not the big top colas, but some of the little individuals down the stem aways and one or two second-tier colas. So, I cut this little gal and scoped her and, voila, about 20% amber on the calyxes, probably closer to 30-40 on the bud leaves. Trimmed her up and dang, there's these beautiful pink casts on the calyxes that you can't see until you clip away the bud leaf. I've noticed, too, that the lemony smell she's had all along has gotten more like fuel the last few days.

You can pick up the amber trichs in the pics, and the pink in the last pic.

I'm interested in what you folks think. The trichs are there and the hairs are about where they "should be". On the other hand, it seems like the buds are a little loose yet (OTOH again, I ended up with a sativa pheno here.. so maybe there just won't be any ultra-heavy indica type bud coming in any case). I dunno.. maybe you can't read much into a little single bud like this.

A pic of one of the buds I seeded, and one of the seeds it kicked out. Check out the fried leaflets (no other bud leaf on the same plant looks like that). Curiousity got the best of me, and I teased that one bean out. She's about 2x the size of the original beans I bought (2nd pic - my bean up front). Not that there's been any issues with the originals - I think the size diff is just because the plant is able to focus a lot of resources into a few seeds. I'm sure the original breeder plants are totally seeded out for production.

These babies need a little more time, tho - a little pale yet.

ha! i knew youd take an early cut! it looks very danky, and smelly, and i can see the amber trich! you could let her run a week or two more, but the balls in your court. i only cut early if i got another whole bloom, ready to go, so im busy all of the time, but man im tired!

Well, it was just a little one! I'll def let her go a bit more.. maybe take a side cola this weekend to get a better read on it.

Decided to get a jump on the outdoor garden this year and put a couple of tomatoes and bell peppers (one green, one yellow) in with the girls this weekend (after a very careful inspection for anything crawling on them). May as well squeeze as much value out of that wattage as possible.

According to other indoor veg gardeners, the tomatoes are more light-demanding than the peppers, thus the pep's got the back row. The Queen will be getting reduced in size over the next couple weeks, which will leave more light for everyone else soon. The room has actually been re-ordered a bit since these photos, with the companions now to the left of the Queen were I to shoot the last photo today.

I love the tableau it makes.. all I need now is a couple orchids, maybe a liatris or sunflower, too.

I had planned to keep these indoors all the way, but I bought the wrong tomatoes. They're Big Boys, which are "indeterminate", meaning the vine will continue to grow continuously until death (so, like 10 feet tall...). Determinate varieties are what you want indoors. So anyways, these Boys will have to be put outside at some point, probably the peppers too (getting weary of paying the inflated electricty bill). Maybe I'll give them some MJ companions for that - I saw Bigman kick out a new MJ plant from a rootball, so I may bury the Queen's rootball outside when I'm done chopping her. Nothing to lose, I figure...

I just harvested some bubblicious and oddly enough just smoked some before coming across your thread. Nice job! I have 8 bubblicious and 8 northern lights clones going right now in a mini SOG. check it out if you want, i'll be adding more pics tonight when I water and pull them out of the growlab. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/312700-bubblicious-northern-lights-mini-sog.html
Helluva setup you have there; I'll check out your pics later. Interested to see how your Bub's look compared to mine. I was on PANGcake's Bub's grow - he had classic indica phenos that really don't look like mine, even tho we had the same bean source (Nirvana). Same branch-breaking bud weight, though!

Nice to see someone reppin' K-zoo! I'm late, but I'll check out your final harvest.
Cool... welcome aboard. The harvest will take some time... and the skunks will be hanging around for another six weeks at least, so you're not late at all..

That nug I took early in the week hardened up really nice and smokes great. Spacey, dreamy relaxing buzz.. really killed some pain, too.. more on that later.

So, with that and 10-50% amber showing depending where you look, it's def time to start some chopping.

I took two colas this morning and trimmed em up - came out beautiful. There's no doubt -- the Queen is READY!!!! The scissor hash off the trim was bomb, too - took two hits about 5 hours ago and still have a nice solid residual. Gonna be time to pop a pizza in the oven and munch..:eyesmoke:

Yes, we have pic's. This shit is beautiful. I'm so stoked. Nice little pile of sugar leaf from these two little guys; gonna freeze that up and make cannabutter, as with the rest of the trim. This weed is so heavy and dense.. shee-it! I'm stoked.

The only little pisser -- I can't get the damn camera to show the pink bases of these calyxes in true color. They look orange, but they're not. They are a deep rose pink that is just delightful. This goes away completely in drying; the dried product comes out an even frosty blue-green; b'ful in its own right. Oh well, I've got another camera I can try.

Enjoy the pic's. I will post an early smoke report tonight or tomorrow, and I also plan to create a rundown of this grow. What worked, what didn't.. etc. If you look closely, you can see the amber vs clear / cloudy patches. Check out some of the upside-down leaves in the 5th pic -- those dark bands are concetrations of ambers.

Thanks for dropping in everyone; the first phase is coming to a close.

amazing, bro, just amazing. enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Thanks, man... we are. My wife and I smoked some more last night and she was very pleased. That's how I know it's really good - she's a hard one to stone! We were literally jumping for joy around the Queen when we realized how good it is, and just how much high-grade is hanging on that plant. We're gonna get a food sealer to store this. I can't wait to pass some out to friends, too.

I'm thrilled with the stone it puts out - more spacey and narcotic than my last batch (which is an energetic "working weed" - so two are very complimentary stashes).

Good think I took a couple days off this week; I may take a couple more down today or tomorrow.

I'll try to follow the RIU format here. The pic is of the actual nug that got smoked - the one I picked a few days ago:

Strain: Bubblelicious (Nirvana)

Growth: Vigorous, easy grower with high N demand. Vegged 4 weeks under MH. Bubs is indica-dominant, but I ended up with a sativa pheno. FIM'ed her, which worked really well.

Nutes: A mix; nutes from pre-ferted MG soil for the first 4 weeks. Ended up on Dyna Gro 9-3-6 thru stretch, 7-9-5 to finish, which has worked beautifully.

Yield: ? ? I never weigh or worry about this; I'd guess about 6 oz dry when it's done.

Bag appeal: I'd say 7/10 so far; frosty hard nugs that should please anyone; a lot of the cool colors disappear early in drying, though.

Smell: Very strong lemon skunky odor from mid-late flowering. More diesel-ly when ready to chop

Taste: Earthy pine-sol at this point; will likely change with a real cure. The first hit tingles your nose like hash; made me sneeze the first time.

High: Best part of all. Very strong, spacey, and long-lasting. Lazy but still social; sleep is optional - it won't make you sleep, but helps you if you want. It's narcotic, too -- the first sample I took was after a 14-hour day of physical labor, and she just smoothed out al the aches; couldn't believe it. I was unconvinced that MJ was truly narcotiic until now.

Comments: I'm so glad I bred this plant! Bubblelicious will always be in my seed bank. I had abdominal surgery two years ago that never healed right. The pain varies almost daily from almost gone, to shooting pains so bizarre and severe, I just don't know where to go or what to do. My work is occasionally very physical - it's a serious problem when the pain and the work demand intersect. After 14 hours on my feet Saturday, this weed just killed it, and Sunday was a tolerable day because of it. This is a Godsend.

Like the smoke report, I'll use some format like that to report on the LA Woman. Glad these trees help you with pain, I know they make a world of difference for my anxiety and depression. When's the next round starting :D

Bravo my friend. :clap:Everthing looks like it is coming along great. Gonna have to try that strain in the future. ;-)

You're welcome, man.. Someday, we'll have a free nation where I could pack up a little for each of you and send it without fear. The whole thing suddenly is overwhelming - the quality, the pride of your own workmanship, not least of all the QUANTITY - yeah! You go through those last couple weeks of flower where it seems to take forever then, boom.. you're there!

Wow, This will probably be my next grow! Thanks for sharing the information with us!
Bravo my friend. :clap:Everthing looks like it is coming along great. Gonna have to try that strain in the future. ;-)
Thanks again.. it is. That's another awesome thing -- just how much primo bud is still there ready to harvest. Another two colas will be coming down today; then I'm gonna chill until next weekend. That will probably be a big chop there if the top colas get mature enough by then.

I couldn't recommend this strain more. I've had it in a couple grows; this was the first female I got. It's a fast-growing, aggressive, nute hungry plant that loves to be bent and manipulated. I've tracked a couple of other bubblelicious grows on RIU - this plant really puts out the dense, nuggy yield.

Like the smoke report, I'll use some format like that to report on the LA Woman. Glad these trees help you with pain, I know they make a world of difference for my anxiety and depression. When's the next round starting :D
Glad you enjoyed that. I like the format, too - it gets you to think about all those different qualities. I would think this strain would make a great anxiety smoke, too -- it's very fast hitting, but not rushy or paranoia-inducing. I've got a batch of Thai hybrid I grew last year - the first 20 minutes you're like "shit... I shouldn't have done that!!" (smoke, that is) before you settle in. This is a totally different beast.

The next round is sort of already in there with the 12/12-from-seed superskunks. They've got a few weeks of fleshing out; they're basically all white pistils still. They're getting their literal day in the sun now that the Queen is getting reduced. After that, I'll probably close down for the summer, though I may bury my root balls outdoors to see if I can get an outdoor reveg going. My room operates in a balance between the heat of the 400 and the outdoors; growing in summer would require constant AC and lot more $$ on electricity. My room needs a good disinfection, too.. got an anthracnose fungus hanging around in there that's gotta go..
