I was given a hand full of really Old seeds from a old grower I know whom moved and cant grow anymore. He told me it is Chocolate thai some rare shit. I dont really believe him but out of 100 seeds only 1 cracked. germination took fucking long like almost a month. here are the pics from seed to present. it barely started to bud and the smell, smells like chronic and chocolate. I also notice early chrystals developing. here are the pics. what do you guys think?

for sure I will, Hopefully by may I will have a harvest. the plant looked shitty in the earlier pics because it started to die and turn bleech white when i had it under the LEDS. I contacted the big O.G grower and he told me that it did that because it is an outdoor strain and dosent do well indoor and I should have it outside so thats what I did and it looks healthy.

wow, 100 seeds and only 1 germed? describe the process you used for germinating, only one of the seeds cracking out of 100 is by far the worst germination rate ive ever seen, even if they were all shittier seeds more than that should of popped. that added with the fact you said this one took a month to germ makes me wonder if your doing something wrong.....you should harvest by looking at the trichome colors. if u want a heady buzz chop when all the trics are cloudy, for a body buzz type high wait till they are almost all amber. harvest at 50/50 cloudy and amber if you want a more mixed buzz.

my method was the paper zippy bag method. I had them germinating in water for 1 day than moved to wet paper towel inside a plastic zip bag. However after weeks none took root. a few crack but soon rott and died. the one seed that actually sprouted was pure luck, I had it in my moms potted plant on the side and like weeks later I dug it out and found a root. than I stuck it in rockwhool with the roots inside. Im so happy i did that because if i stuck with the paper bag method, i would have never got this plant. the seed was over 20 years old and everyone told me it wont germinate, even the medical shops! like 5 of them told me to toss it and buy some low end chronic that has seeds and use that instead.

i did other methods too like had them in rockwool that was soaked in rain water for 24 hours before placing seeds 1/4 inch deep. no luck and they all died or never popped.

This is the first plant I ever grew, I didnt really wana waste time on something that everyone ealse got, but since i got a hold of some potentially good stuff is the reason why i started growing in the first place.

how warm did you keep them? i prefer to use 1 drop of peroxide in a cup of water in a warm dark place, usually they will crack within a day, sometimes a little more. i would of put the cracked ones into the medium as soon as they did so. just out of curiosity-did someone just forget about them and one day found them again? 20yrs is a long time. lol.

the story was, my big O.G grower had a roomate whom bought them from high times a long while back. His roomate and thier friends were all growing it. However they all got busted, because in the 80's he said the GOV. launch some program to exterminate it all, his roomate went to jail but his stash of seeds are left behind. the Big O.G grower then grew a few batches himself.

The temperature I had them on cant say but I left my computer on 24/7 and had them laying on top of it during the germination process, most of them seeds all had this problem. they would pop and sometimes root, however after the roots come out they just become stunned and die or stop growing all together. the only method that worked for me was having it in dirt next to a plant and have nature take its course.

I was gonna try and hermie it but what if it dies in the process? a risk im not willing to take, what I plan to do is let it finish outdoor and harvest it mid may mabe. because after may summer will hit and everything will be growing in veggetive mode. I plan to regenerate it to the point I can clone and keep a mother indoor and with the clones I will try to hermie a few just incase something happens like my garden after being hit by waves of spider mites or locus or freaking slugs and snails of Gnat flies.

I been wanting for so long to make a clone but hmmm how in the hell you clone something with no branches? I was patiently waiting for budsites but didnt see shit and next thing you know when i had it outdoors on the month of Feb it started budding.

man if u have it outside its gonna go back into vegg hours soon witch well most likely turn ur female into a hermie
unless its a auto flowering of course
well least im pretty dam sure but good luck

its gonna take a long time till you can regenerate it after harvest. during flowering when it starts growing branches and the lowest ones about 4-5 inches go and take a clone, put it under 24 hr light. it will take a bit longer than a clone taken from veg to start veg growing(contrary to popular belief cuttings from flowering plants root faster than the veg cuttings.its just that once its rooted it has to re-vert to veg, which takes a few weeks) vlones taken during flowering tend to be extremely bushy w/unbelievable branching so they are perfect for making into mother plants.

Darkdestruction! Thank you! saved me alot of time and patients = ) + rep to you. but what if the lower leaves start to bud too? is it cloneable right now?

it doesnt have any lower branches yet, so not yet. it doesnt matter how far into budding the plant is you can always take a flowering clone, you could take a flowering clone at harvest if you wanted., but they take longer to revert sometimes. Here is the article/guide/whatever you want to call it that opened my eyes......

he does a good job w/explaining it better so i'll leave it to his article, any ?'s feel free to ask.

idk man 1 crack over 100 seeds isnst usually seed genetics, ur probably doing something wrong, and there is no difference between seeds ment for indoor or outdoor, they will do better under the conditions they are made for, ie indoor plants can have problems with mold or rot outdoors because of extra moisture in the air were as an outdoor strain would have had genetics picked with more resistance to these outdside variables. Next time put ur seeds into a cup of water and let them sink to the bottom, once they sink out them into the rockwool or peat pucks and dont touch them untill the sprout. Yours look stretched so lights probably weren't all that close to the plant which is a problem, bring them closer. and if they are stretched tie them to s stick or something to keep them from falling over cause once they fall over ur chances of a healthy plant drop significantly
