I used to use 1 drop ST and 1 tsp H2O2 per gal for soaking my Rockwool/Rapid Rooters. Then I came to the conclusion that it was becoming a complicated process.I have had strains that required all that TLC to get a clone to root before also.Anyway I switched nute programs from Humbolt to Technafloura and it has a component that is similar to ST called Thrive Alive B-1,N-P-K=
1.1.1.I was always taught that Nitrogen was a no,no when trying to get root growth in cuttings.Tell me what you fellas think. Here is the chart:

My brother had some of their rootech cloning gel. He ordered Clonex, and threw the rootech away. Said it was at fault for a bunch of his clones not making it.(Not sure whether it was his dumb ass, and not the gel, myself) He uses Clonex, now.

Lol. I dig your signature, dude.

That sig is from an old song.Cant remember the name of it for shit.I must have 4-5 different types of cloning hormone.I was wondering about the Nitrogen in the thrive alive.I guess Ill make a weak batch and soak my RR's in it.Cutting Shoreline again so I need every cutting to make it every time.Whats wierd is ,if I take 20 cuttings 10 will die but if I only take 5 at a time I get 100% survival.Had a bro show me a new technique so if it works Ill be sharing it with yall.Sorry I no longer put pic's up but there were some threats in 08 and I deleted everything.Dont need a record now.Made it 40 yrs w/o one.Peace

that was the butthole surfers yo... daddy what does regret mean? holy shit i can't believe i remember that!
Your a plethora of useless information that everyone else has purposefully forgotten, donkey. Haha. Jp.

I'm concerned with the way my clones look. They are still burning the tips of their leaves. It's been doing it for a while now. it looks similar to nute burn.(That would be impossible) I thought maybe the Superthrive would help... It didnt. I thought maybe a magnesium deficiency, seeing as how I just corrected one with the mother plants... Didnt work. I'm all out of ideas. Hopefully one of you can either tell me what's wrong, or tell me that nothings wrong.

Conditions and such:
*The only thing these girls have had, other than distilled water and the occasional light shot of Superthrive, is distilled water mixed with a very light amount of epsom salt to see if a Magnesium Deficiency was at play.It did not make it worse, but it didnt help either. It's been slowly progressing on both plants, for a while.

*My lights are
two 4-foot lamps with four 4-foot F40T12 40W bulbs. Two Warm White, and two Cool White. They are set at about 6" from the bottom of the lights.

*They are sitting on an inch thick bed of Perlite, which is in turn sitting on a Hydrofarm seedling heat mat.

Hope they're ok. Got plans for these girls.bongsmilie

Now that I've called upon the mad scientists, maybe I can get these girls in cups. Before I end this I want to add that no roots are visible on any cube... it's been 15 days, now. Should I be concerned?

I prefer nice healthy green cuttings, starving them of N before taking cuttings just doesn't register with me. As roots begin to emerge mine always seem to yellow up a bit. I've tried it with no better results .

As for Rootech, I've been using it for about 8 years. Happens to be my favorite. The local shop always give me free samples of stuff and I've tried clonex and had the same results as rootech.

Thanx again, NeL. At least I know mine aren't doing anything that's not somewhat normal.

Is it normal that I still dont see root at 2 weeks?

Well as long as they're alive your doing good. Some strains are harder to clone than others. The AK-47 I have roots 1st in about 5-7 days. The others take about 7-14.

If you aren't that expierenced taking clones it could take 3 weeks. Look at it this way, they will either root, or die. They look pretty good to me.

Is there alot of light on the medium?I usually cover the Rapid Rooters with a camo cloth so that only green light hits the lower area's.That should get youre roots showing.Like NL said they must be still alive.I have a strain that is hard to clone.Drives me nutz. But as long as I get a few to live every time I'm doing ok.When I clone 1 at a time I get a for sure clone its wierd.:peace:

I totally agree... In fact, I agree so much I put them in cups. Haha. I did this in hopes that the decrease in foliar humidity will get it rooting faster, and I'm getting the rockwool out of the light, as hydrotech was kind enough to advise.(thank you, and +rep btw)

I need them to root soon. If I'm to have the clones from these clones in the ground by late May or June, I'm gonna' need these to start rooting. It'll either live, or it'll die. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a bad idea.

As I always do with young plants(usually seedlings), I put them in some very neutral soil, with about two inches of pure FoxFarm Ocean Forest on the bottom of the cup. When they finally form a taproot, it'll have to dig down to get some FF. I start them on organic tea, next week...

The one thing I can count on from the genetics is vigorous growth. the Powerkush I took them from was the first to sprout. The first to form true leaves, first to branch, first to flower, and it's always been the biggest plant. It's the best plant in a room with strains from known breeders.~Greenhouse, Dinafem, and Seedsman~

When they finally get some established root, I'm hoping they keep that trait.
