The Pure (from Speedy Seedz) 180 watt ProSource LED : My 1st Real Grow

Hey DoloDude-

The LED shots are fukn nice! Can't wait to get some indoor going!!

I put my Pure in soil on 2/28 and uplanted her today since she is a girl!

Took a couple of pics today of my grow stuff, hope you don't mind if i show ya.

1) Pure on the right with a Fem DNA La Woman on the left that is the same age but used different soil mixes

2) Top of my little baby haze

3) Where it grows down

WOW- I can't believe how much bigger the LA Woman is compared to the Pure. What is the difference in soil and nutes on those 2?
The Baby Haze is looking great too. How are you controlling the lights on her so that she is in flower but the others are in veg, if it is an outside grow?

I love the view of the mountains in the background- so effin jealous man!

Just a quick update to note that I had to re-pot the babies today, only 1 week after I just re-potted them in a larger grow pot. Now I have planted them in their final place- it's a 5 gallon tub (rectangular shape fits better and they are cheap!) Drilled 4 holes in each corner for drainage.

Had to rearrange the closet and move the lights around also, since now the containers are large.


Roots showing- I was so surprised when I picked up the plant to rotate it and I happen to look at the bottom and the roots were showing!

Transplanting into 5 Gal tubs-

New Grow Room Set-Up. I want to add another strip of 4 x 32 CFLs on the left, the way they are on the right.

And that's it. Hopefully things go well with the move. I added 1 cup of Perlite per gallon of soil. I also added 2 teaspoons of Dolomite Lime per gallon of soil.
I bought the Dolomite Lime at Lowe's- a giant bag was like 3.99 and the Perlite was around 5.00.
I am still watering with Epsom Salt (2 teaspoons/gal) and I got some drinking water tonight as well to use.
Hopefully, all these things help my girls out. I am really hoping for some rapid Vegetative growth since these plants are almost 1 month old and it seems like they should be further along. But, I did fuck up by going on Spring Break- so I guess they will be struggling with that and the nute deficiencies.
Fingers crossed everything is good moving forward!!

Plants look like they want to take off, came back nice! If I didn't spend my tax return money already, I'd definitely buy some lights.

The sunlight in Hawaii is pretty close to 12/12 all year, so thats how I know my pure is a girl even tho shes a week younger than yours. I should be vegging them more inside then put them out when i want flowers, but not really concerned with big plants right now.

The difference in the picture of the La and the Pure is that the Pure was in an FFOF/FFLW mix while the La was in my super soil mix. Both of those plants look small in the picture, because they are in the big pots they will finish in.

Eargerly waiting for your next update, but until them I'm going to pack some diesel bowls.

very impressive rebound I know what you mean my last crop was stunted and way behind schedule but after they recover fromk the shock they just go right back into rapid vegetative growth and your roots are looking super healthy. Is there any way you can get those cfls closer doesn't seem like they will be very affective from their positions if you could get them right on top without shading the led lights that would be ideal. Doesn't that lamp have a clamp? You could add them to thos and clamp them way closer it would appear anyways keep it up.

Just plucked a tasty looking bud from one of my FD PURE....drying now for a taste test....
My 2 pure are 6-7 weeks into flower with multiple buds growing like an upside down umbrella....I had topped one earlier...left the other alone. I know they have a few weeks to go before harvest but just had to have a taste. Both have luscious buds on em but the topped one has at least 20 2" buds on it.
I'm quite surprised at how much bud is actually growing on the pure....I purposely forced flower at 4 weeks old and only have 1 gal containers....growing for my own medicinal use, quality beats out quantity. Also plucked a bud from some pineapple express too...which also has some good looking buds....and is much stinkier than the pure....

Had some good looking purple jems seedlings til a fucking mouse ate 'em...glad he didn't like the larger plants....

It's not all cherry pie over here dolo, heres my saturday: drove for hours looking for good waves, got kicked in the chest by a cow(right where your bottom ribs join), cut the shit out of my left hand after a charging cow ran me into a guard rail(could see the tendons and need to go to the hospital right now) and came home to see that a fucking mongoose ate all eight of my baby chicks. Fuck! Can't fucking wait to see the what happens tomorrow! Fuck!

I am so not trying to laugh, but getting kicked by a cow is kinda funny- unless it were to happen to me that is. Shit man, sounds like you had a hella rough day!! OK, the thing with your hand, not cool- damn that sounds painful than a mutherfucker. And then to top it all off a mongoose ate your baby chicks- that's just sad
Do I want to know why you were in a field with an angry ass cow?

Hey Guys,
everything has been going smooth this week. All the new Veg growth is nice and green, showing no signs of deficiencies or Ph imbalance.
I have been watering all week with the 2 teaspoon/1 Gal water Epsom Salt solution. This seems to have adjusted everything to back to normal! I couldn't be fucking happier!

Today I mixed a Gal of water with FF nutes- 5mL of Grow Big (half of the recommended) and 30 mL of Big Bloom (all of the recommended since Big Bloom is very hard to burn the plant on) Currently I am only going to water the Bagseed with this FF nute mix since the Pure do not seem as hearty and they showed more deficiencies and imbalances the entire time. Since the Pures are on track with just the Epsom solution- I am going to stick with that, at least for this week.

So, the Bagseeds will be getting the FF water mix and the Pure will be getting the Epsom Salt water mix this week. We will see how it goes and I will adjust accordingly for the following weeks.

OK, so the above post shows how well I think the plants are doing

Some more information: I think the Bagseeds are Indica dominant since the plants are short than the Pure (which I know is a Sativa) and the Bagseed has broad fan leaves. Maybe one of you guys can let me know your opinion on whether the Bagseeds look like a pure Indica or an Indica dominant mix with Sativa.

The Bagseed plants are around 5-5.5" tall right now. The Pures are 6" tall right now.

How long should I let them stay in Vegetative Growth? Any opinions?
I don't want them to be super big/tall and I am not expecting too much by way of yield since I think I fucked them up by giving them softened water in the beginning and letting them get dehydrated while I was on vacay.

I also know that I am super impatient, so I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and flip the switch too early either.

OK- that's it for the updates. Hopefully this week I will see more explosive vegetative growth! I love seeing the pictures that show just how much things have changed; it's always hard to see in person when you are looking at the plants several times a day. A lot of times it doesn't seem like much has changed- until you look at the pictures!

Nice update man. They both look like indica dominant hybrids to me, the bagseed more so than the Pure though. With the lights you got I wouldn't veg them much longer, you want the light to be able to penetrate the canopy and that's not gonna happen if you let them get too tall. I would say definitely don't let them get over a foot tall before flowering.

Looks good sounds like the about the same nut schedule I used except I used 5ml of 5-1-1 fish emulsion instead of grow big. Told you they would take off keep it up.
