well here are my plants with problems. i thought I had mag def, added epsom. seemed to get a little better, then started to look like cal. I added a little lime. I added a little flower fert after the lime, and then this happened. funny thing is I added a little of everything i just mentioned to BS2, the pictures from yesterday. i didnt add as much because it did not show the symptoms of the other 2, but they were in the same soil, so i thought BS2 could follow the same path. well as you seen from the pic's yesterday, BS2 is not nute def, or nute burn anything. and that bitch is closer to the lights than any of them. I will def be trying to clone her or reveg. hope she's good smoke cause she is a random bag seed. well enough stoned rambling, heres some pic's

I can't really tell except the hairs have seemed to get brown really fast once they started to look like that. Maybe they are a faster finishing strain. It just suck to look in my cab and see them compared to the one that looks so good

maybe its that weed Ricky grows on trailer park boys that grows a pound in 35 days, in a garbage can. you are in that part of the country lol

Dolomite and epsom are slow to release. Thats why they usually get added in the soil mix. I would have opted for liquid Cal/mag for faster results. Theyll b aight tho

well i have been wanting to scrog my big plant, but I still want to be able to easily get to her and move her around. so i thought of a net with big openings. i looked around work and found something. all i did is set it on top of her, and tie the loose ends up on the sides. I am gonna try and leave it for the next two weeks to see how it does. tell me what you folks think.

U want to net to stay flat and uniform. Tie each corner to a post, it needs to be level. Ive seen people use bbq grills. I think right now, ure just restricting it. Someone help me here. Am i right??

yeah I have seen the use of metal grills. but I dont want it to end up "trapped" in a grate and I am no longer able to pull it out to water, or snap pictures of. most scrog setups I see, the plant is stuck with the scrog setup. I am gonna give it a little while like this and see what goes. if i notice any restrictions that may hinder grow, believe you me, i will cut this fucker off quick.

i did think about stretching it across the top of my whole grow box, but still did not want all my plants to basically be stuck in the box once they filled up the netting

well i went ahead and took the net off of bs2!! the more I looked at it the more I realized that the light was being restricted at the bottom because of the nets size. if I could cut the net where there was a small portion of net on top, and just 4 strings falling down, i think it would not block much light.

fditty, didnt even think about light restrictions, thanks bro.

Lowes has metal stakes, they have circles on the top. Grab 4 of those place them in. Tie the net, corner to corner..

Ok, so I have really been thinking bout bs1, the smallest one that looks burnt, lately. She hasn't seemed to recover. Her undergrowth is a good green, but all the top leaves have pretty much gone. I am thinking of harvesting and then revegging her outside. This is the best time of year for it. I know I can't harvest all of her, and I should trim her roots up a little for new growth. This will also give me more room for the 2 that are still growing. What do you guys think? She has been flowering 4-5 weeks now. She may have a dry quarter on her, but I just don't think she will produce more. I will post a new pic tonight for you all to look at and give me some advice.

Well i mentioned my dilemna earlier today, BS1. Shes the one in the middle of all the shots except for the one in the cabinet. BS1 started as just a random bagseed I planted in Jan, vegged for 44 days, 12/12 for 37 days, and 30 days since sex was shown, just doesnt seem to be growing any more. I dont know what the problem is exactly, and I think she may be stunted past the point of return. first thought mag def, then thought cal def, then got bad. i have only added water but no improvment, nor any noticeable bud growth. I want RIU's opinion on harvesting now, and then revegging outside after trimming up the roots a little bit and preparing a good piece of earth for her. Or do youthink I can fix her this far into flower RIU? i am torn and need some other peoples opinions. enjoy the pic's anyhow!!

EDIT: I probably wont take action until this weekend or next. so she has a little more time for me to watch and see for more improvement. but the spring sun will be gone soon and I want to take advantage of the gradual daylight increase. Thanks again RIU for your opinion on this

Well honestly because she is random bagseed I would let her go, no reason to struggle to save her except maybe for the learning experience?

Yes you could harvest the tops and try to re-veg her, but I would not expect much high from her at this point (she'll be ok but prolly not killer)

If I was trying to save her first thing I would do is take her out of the pot and check the root ball, then go from there based on what I saw? (if you decide to do this post a pic)

IMO the 2 other plants would benefit from her being gone in your grow space

Knowing when to hold and when to fold is a big part of being an experienced grower

yeah, that last line is my dilemna. i really apreciate your answer. i was already partly thinking the same thing. im gonna think on it a little more, cant do anything until the weekend.

do you think it was maybe a calcium def that did that to the leaves? that is what I was trying to correct when it happened.

Hey gum
Love the new cab, looks like a big improvement on the old 1. You've done a great job of getting the plants this far.
The plant prob looks like nuteburn to me. I doubt there would be any value in smoking her if you harvested now. The taste would be full of nutes and there won't be many milky trichs to give you a hit at this stage.
If you have the room I'd keep her on water till no further damage shows and then take a view. At least that way she'll taste a bit better if you do chop her.

Well its too late. I took her to 6 weeks and chopped her. I know the smoke won't be to good, but I did it for another reason too. I wanted to reveg a plant outdoors. So I fed her nothing but water the last week. I got about 32 grams wet weight from her so about 7-10 grams after dry, cure, and accounting for stems. I put her in a discreet well lit space outside (it is actually right beside where I work!). I left a good bit of green, prob more than needed. I pulled all the soil off and sprayed off the roots, and then put her in a mix of soil. She looked good when I left her yesterday morning. If I am lucky and she takes back at vegging, I should have a nice plant in a couple months. Now bs2 is BANGING! I couldn't kill her if I tried (just kiddin, cause I am sure I could, and I will in the end!). She keeps getting bigger, and drinks like a fish! Jane on the other hand is pretty bad nute burned! If I learned anything here its nutes are as bad as they are good. She is just past 6 weeks flower, so she gets no more nutes anyway for these last 2 to 3 weeks. Maybe she will recover enough to push out a little more weight. I am sorry guys I haven't posted pics in a while, but I will try to post some tonight.

I am still kicking myself for fucking up those 2 plants, but I am sure all us noob's have. Felt this, and prob done the same thing. All I know is my next round will be a lot better
