Active bud ingredient

I've read that there are lots of different things, besides THC, active in a fat bud, but what is or isn't in the trichomes and what other parts have more ? Are there any pics around that show an exploded view of a mature fat bud?

Neither the paper or Wiki entry say what parts of the bud has cannabinoids and in what proportion. They are both about the chemistry not physiology or botanical structure of a ripe bud.
You obviously didn't read them. The physical properties of the trichomes that contain the cannabinoids are mentioned on pg 30-32 of the pdf. I'm sure approx proportions are in there as well but you're the one who wants the info, so you can find it.

You obviously did not read the whole of my question. I'm asking what is in the rest of the bud ? If there are no visible trichomes can it give you a buzz? Are cannabinoids stored internally?

I'm not asking just out of curiosity. I have an unknown strand of 8 wk flower, dense, fat buds. I'm told they need another week or so. The problem is the smell is decreasing a lot. I tore open a bud and internally there is almost no odor! What gives?

Every calyx produces THC trichs. The bud is made up of calyx's growing in a cluster formation one on top of the other. There are Trichomes throughout the bud that contain THC. Every trichome is filled with an oily resin which will also seep into the plant matter, but it is still thc. Now as the trichs turn amber it is the THC converting into CBD which is the more couchlock body stone where as THC is a more pschodelic, heady high.

Buds look really good. What are you feeding them? They might be getting too much N too late in flower causing the odor to decrease. The leaves look really dark green, I'd cut the N out completely if possible...or maybe just flush until it is time to harvest. They are getting pretty close but still not quite there yet.
