manicuring ..how much to handle product

everytime i have harvested bud i trim it while its wet, hang upside down for 8 days then chop into small buds. the bud is ALWAYS been really quality but quite fluffy, airy ..not so dense. not like you can see thru the bud but its just the size of a golf ball but might weigh a gram or something.

last night i chopped down a plant and while it was wet i chopped into buds and manicured. after they looked clean i simply rolled the buds in my palms like it was playdoe and i made shapes with the buds, either round ball or cylinder shape.

after i did it to all the buds i look down and finally i have in front of me, 2 zips of great looking, dense buds that look like they are coming from a dispensary. my hands afterward were like superglue lol.

my question is this ...does anyone else do this?
should i have to do this or should the buds just grow dense on their own? and if they are then how come my buds are always soooo big and not dense opposed to smaller and dense?

thanks and PLUS REP TO EVERONE!!!:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

I hope you made hash with what was on your hands because that was a lot of trichs you knocked off. I would never do this unless I was trying to hand rub hash.

I like to form my buds after theyve been hanging for a couple days, just to get the sugar leaves to become part or the bud and it seems like it drys more evenly instead of flaking out. I dont roll them like play-doh though, I just light press the leaves down and lightly compact the nugs. Some nugs I don't have to touch though, it mostly has to do with your lighting and your strains though.

The denseness all depends on your lighting. The more powerful the lighting is the more dense the buds will become.

I prefer to trim after drying I just find it easier to take the sunleaves off after its been dried. I try not to handle it too much while dry though tri's fall off like crazy.

dude i couldnt have said it better myself. and yes i made alonger story short in my OP but it was actually chopped on sunday and tuesday is when i formed the buds.
i said rolled like playdoe but it was done very gently.
"just to get the sugar leaves to become part or the bud"
thats a beautiful way to say it, i am not good with words but this is what i wanted to say earlier.
i would imagine with a big harvest this could be tedious. worth it if needed tho.

I trim when wet. picking dried fan leaves all around each bud took me hours

with the buds that where on the bottom of the plant that havnt fully matured I just squash all together in a baggie

And if your going to run multiple 1000w's mod them over to 240v. you wont save on electricity but you'll be able to hook more lights up on a single circuit.

Yea I usually dont deal with the bottom buds. They usually arent worth the time or effort to trim I just smoke them like they are.

i try not to disturb my buds when they are flowering let alone trimming, just hold the stem trim away and jar it up after it is dry. Be like smashing or making brick out of great stuff.
