im a noob

and i need your help!

i just planted a seed in a small pot (soil is average, but just right for growing) and i entend to move the plant into a 5 gallon bucket.

My question is: when should i transplant it? how often should i water (when its in the smaller pot and when i move it to the 5 gallon? and please post anything eles that can help.

im not looking to have the best plant (this is more of an experiment) but any adivice/suggestion would be greatly appreciated

I dont transplant from smaller starting pots until they slightly get root bound or show roots comming out from the weep holes in the bottom of the pot. When it comes to watering.. Dont water until the plant needs it. Pick up and move the plant around to feel the weight of it. You'll start to learn how heavy it is when it gets dry. You dont want to over water it, let it dry out between most waterings (IMO). Watch for it to wilt or sag, these are sure signs of a soil getting too dry.

This man know what he is talking about. alot of people are going to tell you alot of bullshit. trust me. watter your plant when they feel light. if they limp a little thats the perfect time to watter them. make sure to transplant when the pots are sucked up all the way and dry so that your root mass doesnt break in half. I let mine get a foot tall then i transplant them from 1 gallon to three gallon. if you are using 2 gallon there is no rush. I water 8 one gallon purple kush plant to 2 gallons of ph'ed watter. this way you flush your plant everytime you watter and helps prevent build up. your first watering in a 2 gallon pot will take a while to suck up. be patient.

Thank you all. What should the PH balance be? and anything eles that would be really helpfull. im a great stoner, but a horrible grower lol. Ive looked up most information so far from internet sources (and i sometimes find like 3 different methods for growing for outdoors) and find it difficult sometimes to find a concrete method for keepim my plant alive in the easist and simplest ways.

Remember you said this.. growing can be as easy as you want it to be or as hard as you make it to be. Dont overanalize, let the plant do the work for you. It will let you know if its got a deficiency or is underwatered. Deff keep your PH between 5.5 and 6.5 Most like it at 6.0 for soil applications. I personally like it 5.5 - 5.7 but what your plant wants and mine wants is not the same.
