sand perlite and a bag of jiffy seed starting mix. I hear people also mix 1bag the ocean floor with 2 bags of light warrior with good results. but I know you probably don't need that much volume. also never hurts to throw in a 1/4 cup of wood ash for 4-5 gallons of soil. possibly a tsp of epsom salts for good measure.

basically when you get the 4 or 5 gallon bucket. fill it with the 10qt 5$ bag of jiffy mix first then add your 1/4 cup wood ash 4 cups of perlite. 1 tsp epsom salt approximately half a gallon of sand or a two inch layer on top of the jiffy mix. fill the rest with your ocean floor. then dump out the contents and mix thoroughly everything should be in the appropriate proportions if done this way. now what are you planing on feeding her in her dirt home?

Dont forget to add a some finely granulated Dolomite lime mixed into the soil..

It will balance out the ph level throughout the grow ;-)

he wont need much maybe a couple tsp. the jiffy mix has it already and I'm pretty sure the ocean forest is pH balanced so 2 or 3tsp of dolomite lime will do. especially considering the wood ash acts as a pH buffer also.

When I made my dirt, I mixed my FFOF with Jiffy, added some Perlite, and a little Sphagnum Peat Moss. I later added some wood ash after advice from a member of this site to help PH. I've heard of using Dolomite lime, but luckily mine is doing fine so far without it. My PH has stayed pretty good.*knock wood*

I also added some Bone/Bloodmeal, Llama dookie, Fruit Bat Guano, and let it compost for 6 weeks, using organic tea to keep it moist... But you probably dont have time for that, huh?

Without the time for composting, I'd go with the another bag of good soil to stretch your money a bit, and a couple things to help with PH. Go with Dolomite Lime. EVERYBODY cant be wrong.

Your a fine gardener, man. I'm sure you'll figure sumthin' out.;-)

*Edit*
Now that we're talking about soil(Not hi-jackin', donkey)... I'm almost 3 weeks into flowering with 5 gallon buckets full of the above-mentioned composted soil. Would it be a good idea to add a little Dolomite Lime at this juncture? I'm not sure it's a good idea, because I've never used any, and I dont have a PH problem. Is it a good idea to add it prophylactically, now?

Pro-mix is the shit. You add nothing. Coco is fairly cheap, I would cut it with pro-mix or coco or something that doesn't effect anything. And I'm pretty sure the FF soil doesn't need lime to be buffered. Check the bag, for that kind of money it damn well be ready to go.
