Tamjam's 2nd grow Snow White 250w

So as the plants get taller in veg one might add blue CFLs for side light? I was thinking about side lighting as they may be able to get fairly tall in a 4x4x6 closet. But I am still learning so I'm probably better off watching your grow for a while. I have learned about the MH and HPS reading threads on this board as well.

TamJam could you recommended a good book on growing?

hey everyone just want to say a big thank you to 'MatureSmoker' hes the guy that i have learnt nearly everything i know from.

everything i do is inspired from him, i just want enough personal weed so i dont have to buy any and he does just that so i figured hes the guy to follow

he popped in my first grow ages ago and has hung around and guided me well

hi mate why i would add some 6500k bulbs is to just mix up the light spectrums abit.

if i were you i would just do what you said and use your MH for veg and then switch to your HPS for flower, if you can use both do it! or if when you are flowering a few 6500k cfl's wouldnt hurt.

as for books i wouldnt worry, everything you need to know is on the net

i have got two cuttings from the mutant and two from the other one, should be rooted very soon!!!

im not planning oin loosing this pheno as if the cuttings dont root i will re veg her outside/greenhouse and take cuttings

Dont you worry, those cuttings will ROOT ..... just give them time, they are probably rooted already but maybe have not hit the sides yet. A VERY gentle tug will tell you, if you feel any resistance then bang, theyre rooting. The 4 you sent me have been faster to root than my Bubba Kush, Northern Lights and Mazar.

re the burnt top, dont worry, she'll grow through that, no harm done but lucky you caught them.

From what I have read, autos do shitty if put into 12/12....I am pretty sure for best results you are supposed to keep em 18/6 or 24hrs light for their whole lives....idk though cuz I have just started my 1st auto grow with several autos...so I will find out soon enough but I got mine on 18/6 and they just started flowering...

like i said if your using big wattage HIDs theres no need to worry about cfl's, i only mentiond it because my 250watter is no where as beefy as a 400watter

you should be fine with the hps for seedlngs.. i have plants vegging an for the fuck of it i germinated some bag seed an got ike 6 of em on the ground next to the big mama's lol and they sproutd... i would worry more aboue stretching with the hps an your little box.. hopsfull you plan on doing some kinda LST maybe invest in a MH conversion bulb for veg

What confuses some people is that the warmer a color is, the colder its color temperature is. (ex. Warm White = 2700K). Bulbs ranging in the 2700K-3000K spectrum are usually labeled Warm White or Soft White, bulbs ranging in the 3500K – 4000K spectrum are bright white or cool white, 5000K is labeled Full Spectrum, and finally 6400K – 6500K is labeled Daylight.

hey MS two off the cuttings are showing roots and i have removed the domes now, the two mutant cuttings are really really yellow! will they become ok or not?

hi mate, 24/7 for two weeks will be fine and then flip to 12/12 to keep them nice and short, will come and check yours out in a minute mate

hi mate yeah they were fine with the HPS but it sounds like you only read the first page lol

as for the MH im not going to bother as this is going to be a 12/12 from seed grow so i will have lots of different age plants in there soon but im gonna add a couple 6400k cfl's soon

hello mog i wondered when you was gonna show up mate, looking forward to see your harvest as your last plant was awesome.

i know about 4 people within a mile i can score weed from so no problems there apart from having to pay £25 an 8th and since i smoked my AK's ive spent £125 on weed

i will check the diary in a bit but i think its 6 weeks!!! but they have been battling the cold up in my loft, thats why they are so far behind, now that theuy are in the bedroom they are flying on
