What's the deal with nutes?

Hey my plant is about a month and a week old and is growing in FFOF which i know has plenty of nutes already in it. The plant is growing fast and has no problems as of right now. I haven't given it any nutes yet and see no reason why I should start.
Can someone give me a reason?

I mean, my answer would be to not add nutes until my bottom leaf set starts to die. Is this what you think? Also, what do people think of tea vs. nutes

well theres a reason I bought FFOF, Because its 0-0-0 soil. FF doesn't add nutes to there soil. As for the guano and EW castings.. I guess that some sort of organic supplement, but im still going to buy the FF big bloom, tiger bloom, grow big and adjust the Ph. just for good measure, and hopes of a bigger, healthier plant. O yea, this is not a professional opinion. Just my 2 cent.

FFOF is a hot (full of nutes) soil, so hot has been known to burn seedlings
can go 2 to 3 months without adding nutes (depending on strain) and the one common issue is a Cal/Mag def towards the middle to end of flowering

all those things in the soil that you mentioned are organic nutes by the way and the tea thing is also most usually a concoction of organic nutes

Tea seems to be safer than nutes from what I understand. Is this agreeable? I have AN iguana juice grow and bloom but I'm thinking maybe I should just make FFOF tea instead. The only problem I see with tea is that its harder to regulate exactly what your plant is getting. What do you guys think of this?

Cal def -
This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
If the starting water is above 200 ppm, that is pretty hard water, that will lock out mg with all of the calcium in the water. Either add a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of epsom salts or lime (both will effectively reduce the lockout or invest into a reverse osmosis water filter.
Mg can get locked-up by too much Ca, Cl or ammonium nitrogen. Don't overdo Mg or you'll lock up other nutrients.

Epsom salt is for Mag def's it is Magneseium sulfate and I used FFOF and added dolomite, still had the mag def towards the end, why I am switching to pro mix for my next grow also epsom salt is a quick fix and should not be used regularly as it is SALT which will build up in your soil and cause other problems

I have much to learn, but to clarify the topic. When would you start adding nutes to FFOF soil? Other than Mag, I know you said it could be good for 2-3 months. Does this mean if your growing Auto's that last for 60 days will need no nutes (big bloom, tiger bloom, grow big [mainly to avoid possible burn]) added in FFOF other than mag?

Yeah I am always learning, that's why they call it experience

When I used FFOF I did not start using it untill I went into flower for veg I used happy frogs and I started adding nutes like 3 or 4 weeks in, but I was doing a lot of experimenting at the time and after using it (based on post here) I have decided not to use it again, not slammin on it just want more control in my grows

and yes if you had an auto (using FFOF) in a big enough pot I would think it could finish without nutes

known soils for doing this are SubCools soil and Moonshine mix (both discussed here at RIU)

I started my seedling and i was lucky enough it didn't burn any of my seeds. I noticed yellowing of the leaves about two months into veg and started nutes. Started at half strength with my gen hydro nutes. Took care of the leaf prob. You could grow in this soil till flower as long as nutes are still in soil. But youll have to add bloom nutes during flowering. This is what my hydro guy said
