Hi guys.

I have very little botanical expertise, and have sprouted some nice kind bud seeds, but I'm not sure if they were Sativa or Indica or what.

They can out of a bag I bought a few weeks ago, so I germinated em, and planted the sprouts into the soil.

Other than watering these little guys with tap water, and leaving them outside the window, they have been easy to grow.

I'd say these are 2 weeks old and Have out-grown their Crib, so I plan to transfer into a 5 gallon bucket within the next couple of days for the rest of the growing.

1. Is it possible to tell anything about these weeds from the pics? (enlighten me, whether news be good or bad, just be polite please, I'm really new)

2. What kind of soil do I want to pick up for their new home (5 gallon bucket/pot, I live in a rural area and have scoped out two possible grow spots). So if they get big, I have a spot, but they get average height I'm going to leave them on the awning.

Thanks for all the advice/help!:neutral::neutral:

Mistake one.
You put them all in one pot! you will have to be super careful about seperating them now as there roots are probably tangled. Some damage will occur. Get them there own homes asap. Look for Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil if you can get it somewhere. Internet?

Can't I just leave them like this and they will make their own room in a bigger place? I don't want to tear any roots, just transfer the soil and plant into a nice hole inside a 5 gal bucket of fox soil?

And I just ordered 12 quarts of fox soil off amazon. Should be here in a few days, hang in there little girls! (I hope they are girls) Also, I have had a lot of wind on these bad boys, and they have some nice stalks. Does that mean they will be more potent? Like, if I continue to raise them in a fairly windy outdoorsy environment (I'm thinking my roof/awning) does this increase size, therefore more yield and potency? I'm 99% sure these are kind bud seeds, but only time will tell I guess! This is all for fun anyways, I'm hoping for a decent harvest around late July, and plan to 12/12 them around the middle of June. What you think?

Thats what im saying the need to be transplanted now even if just in small pots for now! don't risk getting the roots tangled or they will strangle each other. Thick stems does not mean more potent just means the healthy and will be able to hold thereselves up. It won't help with size as such only part of the equation and the more light the better for size. Also genetics play a big part on how big they will get. You would want to flower for 6-8 weeks minimum if its indica and 8-11 weeks if its sativa.

My lord, I'm so sorry I have spent all these years not believin in you

not sure why you put em all in the same pot but can't question your all knowing wisdom

So my next grow I will do it this way, but is there any way you could flip the lights here in CO to 12/12 in June as well???

put a black garbage baog over them if they are planted outside or just bring them in every 12 hrs.

They need to be in their own pots. Don't forget added perlite and holes in the bottom, for drainage. The wind has nothing to do with the potency of the plant. It will just make the stem stronger, and better able to support itself.

Finished transplanting today. The root of one of the plants became exposed, but took no damage, just slight pressure.

These were freshly watered at time of photos so don't think I overwatered them, it was just heavy because it was the first watering after transplant.

Water flow is draining well with several punctured hole in the bottom of my bucket.

This will be grown outdoors primarily. Until I begin to 12/12.

Is there any easy way to 12/12 a plant outdoors without having to lug it inside?

Close-ups are for any tips or hazards I might face.

The top soil used in the bucket was my own, dug from the ex-horse field where they shitted everywhere.

Found some worms while digging the soil, but not unusual. I'm assuming that means it's good soil, or at least decent.

Thanks for all updates:!::!:

The only way you will get around 12/12 outdoor is to bring it indoors in dark every 12 hours then back out. Some peopl recommend black bag/ garbage bags I don't like the idea as humidity and fresh air flow for your plants becomes an issue I would think.

Update!

The day after early emergency transplanting!
Unless that bucket is about 2 feet wide you need to put them in separate pots. Each plant needs around 1 square foot of space. Having the plants that close together will affect growth once they get bigger. They will be so close together that they will block light from getting to each other... So if you want allot of BIG BUDS put them in their own pots.

if you want to 12/12 her outdoors, just let nature handle it. If you have the space to bring her inside and put her in COMPLETE darkness, then essentially you have a growroom, and you should probably just grow in there.

I plan to trim the plants accordingly to make sure they still get light evenly. If they all end up female I'll be shocked, but more than likely there's a male in there, which ill remove during flowering.

I don't need massive tree buds, I just want like some nuggies from these ladies (using the force).

It's my first grow, so I decided to go outdoors with em while I can, I'll be moving to a new place soon and have to switch over to indoor growing (not on this plant, this is just a learning experience).

ok but trust me they will grow wwwaaaayyyyy better in separate pots. and even if you do trim them, the roots from all three plants might be too much for that one bucket. once the roots fill the bucket they will slow down allot or even stop growing... just some advice
