It's not the credit cards fault...

I love them, buy now, pay later... works for me, and keeps the credit score great!

Ahh.. those damn plastic cards. I owed almost 10 thousand on different credit cards and spent about 3 years making payments and never seeing my balance go down (due to high ass APR's).. until finally my stepdad did me the HUGE favor of letting me transfer all of my balances to his card with a low APR and I'm happy to say that I'm finally almost done paying him off! But dammit, I learned the hard way and I will never ever get into that fuckin hole again. I hate credit cards!!

Edit to add: I still use one, but I charge a little, then pay it off.. charge a little, pay it off.. and I've brought my credit score back up so its all good now :)

i never intend to get a credit card either. with my laughable income i wouldnt be able to pay off shit. so its much better to buy things when i have the money and take the kick in the ass when i cant get something i want. credit cards are a tease and a scam; all the money you guys are paying is making some rich fat bastard richer fatter and more bastardly

i got about a doz credit card offers when i turned 21; took the fake plastic card out and used the envelopes for kindling:fire:

and why do i have to suffer having a bad credit score (0 btw is still "bad") when i have made a good financial decision NOT to spend money i dont have?

This is very simple....

Main Card: American Express. No revolving credit. You must pay off the balance each month. This keeps you in check, or it will 30 days hence.

Secondary card: Mastercard or Visa DEBIT card. The funds come directly out of your account, and you don't have to carry cash everywhere you go.

I'm square each month no matter what.
