I can tell ya this,, The only ones that got there card in 30 days was the ones that turned them in in lansing at the mass turnin. I was one of those folks. EVEYONE else is getting they're cards up to 120days. Yes it will take ya 4 months to get the card. Join us in the protest in lansing on the 17th. We're protesting the wait time and about folks getting arrested while waiting for there cards. No you will not get your card in 30 days, period. 4 months is more like it............................................................

you're not considered legal until you get your card.

I just read on the MMMp site that after 20 days youre considered legal....are you saying that because they are behind that rule does not apply?

all i know is that people have been arrested for using marijuana while waiting for their card. i have read the act and from what i understand you're not legal to use weed until you have your card in your possession. but ive been wrong before...never heard/read anything about 20 days.

After 15 days if not denied your application is deemed granted. While waiting forever your app and recommendation act as your license. This is why it's important to send your info in certified mail or in a fashion it can be time stamped.

Yep yer wrong again this time. After 20 days if they dont get ya the card the app becomes your card. It's right in the law so read her again.

Yes folks have been arrested with just the paperwork but thats why we're protesting and only leaves the arresting leo in for a hell of a civil lawsuit.

If the department fails to issue a valid registry identification card in response to a valid application or renewal submitted pursuant to this act within 20 days of its submission, the registry identification card shall be deemed granted, and a copy of the registry identification application or renewal shall be deemed a valid registry identification card.

still kinda fuzzy on one thing though...how do you know when they get your app and approve/deny it? do they call you?


and my guess on why they're so far behind is that im sure a bunch of people are sending in apps so they must be backed up...but who knows with michigan...

when you send in your app you send it "certified mail" and you get a reciept which you can then track at usps to confirm delivery. mine was delivered the next day, so im at 18 days and counting!!!!
