Not at all i like the activity :) and yes it was pcik 'n' mix, i just decided to buy a couple to see how things went and so far we are doing good. The yellowing on Papaya isnt too good but she should be ok after some adjustments.

I am using regular grow bag soil with no feed as of yet. I intend on leaving the feeding until she has 5 or 6 sets of adult nodes. When that happens i am going to be using a fert with a NPK of 20-10-10 (pretty average) and i wil be looking into creating my own mix for when i make the final transplant for flowering.
I will be using some for of booster aswell to try get the best out of the buds (organic only)

If i manage to pull this off i will invest in some proper seeds :bigjoint:

I wish all future seeds would germ in such a short period of time!

I saw a strain that had a thc content of 35% aparently. That was $40 a seed LOL

Nice to have you on board HPS :) Another thumbs up for papaya i see :bigjoint: I wish i could share a joint with my suscribers!

The yellowing is being monitored closely, I have pulled the light away from her to see if that has an impact! I am thinking heat exhaustion is causing it :( a 400watt hps, 1.5 x1.5 x 2m tent all on one plant. The light was a good 2.5 foot from the plant but that is now more 3.5 foot now.

To both of you guys the Strain that i saw was infact Elephant Bud but HPS you have opened a new door for me with the jedi.... 41%!?!?!

I never knew there was a strain around with that much thc, I am wondering if it is all a huge con?

It seems strange how the genetics of MaryJane can produce plants with thc as low as 4% (probs less) up to around 25% then there is a 9% hike in strength. I thought there would have been more 25% -35% strains!

I might have to try it and do a Jedi Journal :leaf:

*Edit* I stand corrected... A list of aparent "Strongest Strains" available 30%+ - http://bcseeds.com/World-Strongest/c51/p199/Blue-Elephant-Bud/product_info.html

48% THC ?!? http://bcseeds.com/p202/Infinite-Euphoria-Bud-%E2%80%93-20-Pack/product_info.html

I don't know... I'm really skeptical of any strain that costs that much... I guess I'll either wait for a grow journal or miss out completely.

That is what i am like! Plus what would happen if you grew a few and smoked it for a while, the less potent strains will seem lame after a week or so...

It would be interesting

I don't know man... Doggies nuts? Bcseeds? They have all these "rediculous" strains but none of them are cup-winners and as far as I know most of them haven't even competed, nevermind actually winning.

so what's with that? Wouldn't wouldn't the breeders be world renowned for doubling the current record for THC content? And wouldn't the strains be winning all kinds of awards in BC, Oakland, and amsterdam?

they would have to be for me to pay these kinds of prices... See for yourself:

It has to be a con, they would be known as the best strains ever! Im sticking with the low 20%'s

pic 1 & 2 are from yesterday and 3 & 4 are from today. Slight burn on the bottem 2 leaves but no new yellowing on the new growth. . .

what kind of nutes are you using?
No nutes at the moment mate. I am using soil from a grow bag with plain old water that has been left in an open ontainer in the tent.

It looks like your plant is hungry.
Looks like a Nitrogen deficiency. Do a search on this board and you
will find similar pictures.
If it was me I would feed it. But go easy on the nutes since you have
not given it any.
Other than that it is looking good.

hi blackberd hows it going.

i was thinking same thing but normally soil should have enough food for at least a month or 3 to then start feeding it nutes. if he were to flush it a few time and then still have the same thing i guess you could then say nutes. it is hard to say coz im not the one growing it lol. but would that work if it was hot flushing it threw?

what kind of soil is it... Because I know that FF:OF has enough nutes for 2-3 weeks, but that stuff is practically designed for what we are doing. I'm not sure if "lowe's" soil would have the same nutritional value... In fact I would guess it isn't even close.

I had looked into the Nitrogen deficiancy as soon as she had started to yellow last week when she was in the cupboard. I soon realised as soon as i chaged my thermometer that the temps were touching 35 degrees!!!!! So i got the tent set up and bunged her in there. Now she has steady ph/temps with good ventilation but the yellowins is still persisting (mainly on the bottom nodes)

I gave her a slight feed last night with some plant food i managed to source late in the afternoon that is NPK 24-8-8.

She is still growing which is keeping me in hope  fourth set of nodes are showing through now :)

EDIT: lowes was just an example
The soil is from a grow bag i purchased from my local gardening centre, it contains "essential trace elements needed to grow tomatoes" as it says on the bag. There isnt much detail on what elements are present... It also says it is good to use tomato feed to help boost the plant.

I have decided to slowly introduce nutes to see if that helps

I am also close to changing soil now as i have no idea what it contains. What are your guys preferences for a good soil for vegging and one for flowering?

The nft way was a tad easier than soil haha. But i am glad to experience it and hoefullly become educated.

Also a big thanks for your input, it is nice to have support

I know people who have great success using "foxfarms ocean forest" all the way from seed to harvest. You may need some "cal-mag" toward the end of flowering, but you should have some around either way. So that's not a big problem.
