I've got a similar disposition. I'm my grandfathers namesake. I can respect that, donkey. He's already watched me go to prison twice.

Well cannabis is classified as a c3 plant, it doesn't require a dark cycle to complete photosynthesis like trees do. it does grow different parts of the plant more while in the dark, I think someone mentioned roots for instance. and intake of co2 is stopped during darkness. oh and this is my 2,000th post what happens to my status?

I'll stick with 18/6 just because it's what I've always done. I've always been curious if Cannabis would benefit more from a cycle of all light. I know better, now. Haha.

I plan to do the suggested 20/4 for my auto-flowers, this summer. Some of those will go outside to breed and make seed. But I'll keep a few of the females on 20/4, in my closet under my 430... Which will HOPEFULLY be done flowering my 4 ladies... hopefully

It'll be the first time I've ever grown outside of 18/6 and 12/12. I'm evolving, man.
:-P :bigjoint:

Mine have been rooting on 17/7 and are doing fine. I've got them on 17/7 so I can easily cut them back to the photoperiod outside, when I put them out.

i'm flippin to the 18/6 just to give it a try. 2 month experiment. is it ok for clones to be 18/6 while rooting?
18/6 will make your clones/plants much happier... ;-)

Faster root growth, healthier glow.

Imho, I believe that all plants need rest, just like us humans.

This is so true! I can watch my leaves start to droop right before the lights go out. They perk up anout five mins before the lights come on. And thru the day they will breathe up and down. Go look on youtube under timelapse marijuana grow.

Thats right DF ;-)

My plants do the exact same thing.

At nightime, They get tired just like us.

They want rest/rejuvenation to function properly, and grow.

Plants are more alive than what most people think.

They enjoy good food, sex, music, sleep, and a happy environment.

Just like we do.

They are truly a remarkable specimen. :)

Your humanizing them too much. I'm starting to feel bad for never letting my plants get laid. Hahaha.

Seriously, tho. What you guys are saying makes sense. Mine started gettin 10 minutes more sleep every night, as of a couple of nights ago. I dialed it down 10 more minutes. I think my peak daytime hours here, are about 16 hrs, so I'm slowly manipulating them down to about 16.5 so they can adjust well to the outside schedule. Im gonna drop 10 minutes a week. Hopefully they dont start trying to bud early
