Intentionally twisting main stalk at base????

My brother in law swears if you twist the stalk to the point where you hear a snap makes the plant somehow grow better is there any logic to this or is he just fuckin insane.....let me know cuz he's tryin to do that shit to my plants lolbongsmilie:joint::peace:

well yea, it would definitely cause some stress to the plant. how much i couldnt tell you though. i mean bending it is one thing but actually snaping it?

just google supercropping or youtube it. this is exactly what hes talking about.
 
i know what supercropping is........... when you bend them down, but he pinches it and twists the main stalk coming straight up not one of the stems going out he doesnt bend anything he just twists it

You obviously do not know what supercropping is..... Supercropping is basically taking the MAIN stem and twisting it between your fingers untill you hear/feel a snap. This encourages all the side branches to then grow much stronger than they would have.

What you were talking about is called LST (Low Stress Training)

still a form of supercropping...he is just using the main stem in stead of a growing top...really the same. He is twisting instead of pinching to break/snap the inner hurd. Twisting may provide a more even "break"
