I hope someone can help me with this.

I live in Colorado, and am certified as medical marijuana patient. Bought some Carmelicious seeds, and started them indoors to give them a jumpstart as I planned to grow them outside and we have a fairly short season. Indoors they were getting 14 hours under flourescents. I waited until night freezes were over, and hardened plants off slowly outdoors being careful to maintain 14 hours of light. Once natural light had caught up to the 14 hour mark, I planted them. They showed the usual transplant shock for a few days, had a few days of new growth, and now are putting on buds. Plants are only 14 inches tall, and secondary branching has only just begun. Can I stop this? will plants adjust as daylight continues to increase? Or do I write off these plants and start from scratch?

not sure what problem you're having. putting on buds?? size?? your plants are not too short as carmelicious only grows to about 2 1/2 feet, with most of that growth in the fall when it receives less than 12 hours of light.

problem is I still have 3 months of growing season to go and would hate to lose all that summer growth]
genetics wins over environment. you could take it inside on 24/0 lighting for five years and the plant won't get bigger than 3 feet after flowering. if it's budding now it will likely revert to veg as the days get longer, but it's not going to get much taller than 18" until it flowers. you can use the time during the summer to make it a little bushier.
