Thanks man, I appreciate it. I actually think the 250 will be perfect for the size flowering room I have and it should, hopefully, be easier to manage the heat. I also kinda like to 'patronize' my local hydro store. They give me some freebies and a lot of good advice/sales pitches. Also they have a thing where when you have $1000 in receipts, you get $100 worth of your choice free.

Speaking of heat I have one 8 inch fan on each side of the room, at the top, one draws in the others pushes out. I have thought about putting one down low to blow on the plants but worried about humidity issues. Do you think the fans I have will keep the 250w HPS cool enough? Also how far away will I need to keep it from the canopy?

Any way you can get the fan to blow parallel to the light, so that the heat kind of gets blown away before it can get to the plants.

I'm a CFL guy so I don't know shit.

I agree might want to shop around, you could get a 250w cheaper but if you are like me the money is no matter if I can get what I need when I want it, concerning the hood If you want more light in less space I would dicth the individual reflectors, or build one big hood, what Iv'e done seems to be working well for me...

I hear ya, I need a second 'pre flowering' room on the 12/12 schedule rather than a second veggy room like I have now. I'm thinking I could use the CFL's that are in the main flowering room now to make the 'pre room'. Just need to figure blocking the light from the other side, without enclosing everything so as to need a bunch of danm fans.

I'm finally getting the plants down to manageable numbers. Now I can't wait for my order from Dr. Chronic, Satori by Mandala.

I killed the hermie and another male which was discovered yesterday. I also dumped the 5 in cups that I pegged as weak or possible males to make some more room. I moved 2 more plants from veggy to flowering. This weekend I plan to transplant the 4-5 best seedlings into 6" pots to clear the way for some more clones. The two I took are doing okay, one is starting to show roots the other isn't.

Thanks for stopping by all.

Well I couldn't sleep so I'm up early. I have this little theory in my head about growing and wanted to get some thoughts on it, guys and gals.

I live in a state where medicinal marijuana is legal. I am meeting with a guy soon to get my own medicinal card. Once I get this I will turn around and apply for a 'providers license' which costs $110. Not sure on exactly how it works but my thought is this.

You are allowed to be a provider for I beleive 6-8 people. I have many more friends than that who smoke. So I plan to get them the medical cards and then be their provider! Then I can grow 100% legally, right?

Did you guys happen to see the 'case' we had here recently? In a nutshell there was a couple up north who had medicinal cards but no providers license. They were growing about 50 plants or so and got raides/busted. The police took the plants, stuffed em in a corner somewhere, and arrested the couple. Well the couple gets out on bond and goes and applies for the provider license. When they went to court the judge ruled that the providers license was a 'mere formality' in keeping them from being legal and he ruled in their favor! Woo HOO. Here's the kicker though. Medicinal marijuana plants are protected by the state law and must be cared for. They put them in an evidence room somewhere and obviously the plants died in 18 months time. Now the couple is suing the state for the value of the plants, which they are estimating at $150,000! The state will have to settle with them as they fucked up royally. Long story short this couple hit a small lottery, growing Mary Jane!

Hope you guys have some thoughts on all of this.

hahahahaha....good story. I can't help you on the legal side....good story for sure! I know Canada has a similar system, but I have not looked into it as yet. Lacy gave me the link and I have the application booklet...

Hello,

Here are some pics from this mornings transplants. I took the 5 best seedlings and potted them into some Ocean Forest.

I also planted the two clones I took into Light Warrior.

One has roots growing through the root cube the other has a lot of 'stems' for roots but they haven't grown into the cube yet. I transplanted it anyway.

Hope you enjoy!
