Kush Experts!! Opinion needed Please! Reserva Privada OG Kush - Indica or Sativa?

I am confused. All my buddies from the West Coast insist OG Kush is pure Indica. I have personally seen a grow with the Reserva Privada OG Kush and it looks nothing like the other indicas. It has dainty thin leaves, stretches, and is not main cola dominant.

My question is: is the Reserva Privada different than the OG that is spread around Cali?

I know there are a dozen different cuts (Larry, Tahoe, SFV etc...) so I dont know if the Chemdog 91 that they claim is less indica like? Or if it just grows like a Sativa and Smokes like an Indica.

I will say that the buds are rock hard and super dense, which is more Indica traits.

Can someone clarify? When I look at it next to the White Rhino I cant help but think " that thing is NOT an Indica" - Am I wrong? Ive heard many people say their Bubba Kush grows enormous fan leaves, and this is not the case with the Reserva PRivada OG. Maybe its just the phenotype?

Also if OG was previously only available from clone, what magic did they perform to get it to seed?

So I guess Im also asking if its authentic OG?

It smokes great, tastes great, like fuel and lemons, devastating high. No complaints about the quality, just seems to be inconsistencies between typical Indica descriptions and what Ive seen.

Oh ya, also very sensitive to room conditions and nutes. Its the first to sag when temps get high, doesnt like high ppms, and drinks slowly.

Any OG Kush experts have an opinion?

I'm interested in this question also. I bought an OG Kush to make clones and it doesn't look anything like any indica I've seen.

Ah... so it is a sativa dom. Good to know Im not crazy. I did know that its not authentic "kush" in terms of being from the Himalayan mountains rather just a name one of the breeders gave it. And they got it from a seed from a bag at a dead show etc etc.

Chris, do you know if there is a difference in the clone only OG from the Chemdawg floating around Cali and the Reserva Privada OG?

Me no expert by looooong shot...but I recall looking at hundreds of seeds recently and I'm about 90% certain there is a seedbank offering basically the same kush with either sativa or indica dominance (so my understanding was the two strains had one parent in common and then they added either sat or ind in the other parent). maybe twas reservada?

Are Res Priv seeds good generally?

I think your thinking of reserva privadas apolla 11 or A13 or somethin, which they sell as indica or sativa dominant.

Like stated OG kush is just the strain name. Kush is basically a pure indica and i think it became like a slang name for good buds like chronic,dank or dro. Than someone probably just named it OG Kush cuz it was the original dank or something and it has lead people to think it's an indica dominant but the OG OG Kush (lol) is a sativa dominant strain 65%.

There are many different cuts like you said and a lot of crosses with it so you might find some OG Kush that is Indica dominant or sativa dominant depending on where you get it from. Plus it's like the most popular strain in the world right now so everybody wants in on the action. Just decide what your looking for and what bank's strain works best for you and go from there. Most OG Kush fans recommend Cali Connections OG kushes and they have like all the different types but might be hard to get a hold of them because there's not a lot of places to get them I think THCfarmer or some shit like that never been there personally so i couldn't tell you if I would order. Another OG Kush I heard was good is Drgreenthumb a couple of us got some tester beans from him and the service is top notch and last i saw they were on sale. Look under elite strains they are feminized. His C99 took 1st place in high times strain of the year i think.

Thanks bro. Do you have a preference of the two? Ive had Grandaddy Purple but not Purple Kush. I do really like this Reserva Privada OG Kush. The taste is killer and very potent.

Yes I do have a preference lol lol PK is my all time fav GDP is sweet good for sleep OG Kush just doesn't do it for me. Real PK is Killer now and always lol peace out Headband707:eyesmoke:

hey big brew, does that rp kush have what i always call the coffee taste and smell to it?
i am growing out dr greenthumbs og kush right now as well, but its only a couple of weeks into veg at the moment.. i am pretty excited to say the least to see how she is gonna turn out though..

No dude its a fuel smell and taste all the way. Like an outboard boat engine...yummy. But I dont know that Dr Greenthumbs are the same as RP.

Most all of the trainwreck crosses are hermie prone. Just the other day I was looking through my old High Times and they had a picture of A-Train from Sensi and it had nanners all over it. You figure they would pinch em' off before they took a pic for a magazine lol.

Well I'm going to comment on the TW from Cali and the I guess so called TW from BC . Now I can't say if this is true TW as it's an underground strain and it's as far as I know it's been crossed with PK and dank as hell and I have had and grown the Arcada cut and I can tell you that this is two completely different things. There are two TW and this must be the second one lol.. This one is one of the dankest buds around here. Nothing like the E32 not complaining about the E32 just saying lol . And yeah she hermies .. not the BC cut but the cali cut so does OG Kush and chemdawg,peace out Headband707
